Beside my building space they have started to build a shop. So the big entrance is blocked and we just can use the small one in front of my land. That means that the mainhull, sidehull, beams and cockpit have to be brought to the beach and glued together there. Some of the locker doors are in now, the rest will follow next week. Luckily I found two people who want to work on Nixe until she is finished. They start next week and will sand and paint inside everything. Actually I work on the water system and will finish next week, then the electric system is next. Saturday had me on the boat, where I sanded the beams and boom for the last step of finishing. I also took advantage of the very fine day, to take a nap, and chill on my boat. I very much enjoyed it. Yesterday I was posting about the unconventional CrabClaw rig on. Look at the lovely shot above, from photographer Emilio Russell. These however, brought in later, by a Portuguese sailor who arrived there after crossing the Atlantic. Multihulls. Were widely accepted due to their advantages in these treacherous tidal estuaries.

Proa Nixe in the International Yacht Club in Lumut, Malaysia. Proas are light and fast boats with a layout no other boat has. A mainhull and a smaller sidehull. In Nixe's mainhull there is all you need for cruising: a double bunk, galley, navigation table, a table with seats for four, shower and toilet room, a storage room for tools and spare parts and enough lockers for all two people need in a liveaboard. And a big cockpit with 2m long seats. Just comfortable.
