2016 Programme of Events. Our monthly meetings and speaker schedule for 2016 is shown below. This page will also be updated from time to time to include special events and Club outings as they become organised. All lunch meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at Weybourne House. Unless otherwise indicated. The bar opens at 12.15pm, with luncheon at 1.00pm. We aim to finish at 3.00pm or thereabouts. Speaker and Event Programme 2016. JANUARY 7th: "Under Billowing Sails".

Our venue is the modern Weybourne House, Guildford. We have sole use of a large function room, dining room and bar leading on to a spacious terrace overlooking the River Wey. Our venue also features excellent restaurant facilities, club bar prices, free car parking and a lift to all floors. Weybourne House is conveniently sited just off the Old Portsmouth Road (A3100) about 2/3rds of a mile south of Guildford’s High Street. Probus'81 - Introductie
Probus 81 is onderdeel van Probus-Nederland. Een van de doelstellingen van Probus is het verbreden van kennis en interesse door eigen activiteit. Hiertoe wordt op de tweewekelijkse lunchbijeenkomst door één van de leden een lezing gehouden. Lezingen mogen overal over gaan wat geschikt lijkt; ze duren zo'n veertig minuten met gelegenheid tot het stellen van vragen. Iemand die zijn eerste lezing houdt wordt geacht ook iets te vertellen over zijn persoonlijke geschiedenis. Bij verhindering voor een lunch.

Probus '83 is a monthly lunch club for retired, semi-retired and soon to be retired men from many walks of professional, business and executive life. Probus clubs are entirely autonomous but are part of a worldwide movement originating from the Rotary Clubs, with about 1,500 clubs and 100,000 members in the UK alone. Saturday, April 9, 2011. Another letterpressed design, with the image dominating the overall design instead of the type. I carved the fighting roosters out of a linoleum block and used 10 line Gothic Extra Condensed wood type for the lettering. I printed 9 total on beige colored BFK paper. Also on a flat-bed cylinder Vandercook press. I carved the image of Death riding a horse from a linoleum block mounted on wood. This is the block after printing. Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
