Procedural Insight :: History
http://www.proceduralinsight.com/history.html
Welcome to Procedural Insight. Procedural Insight is a response to the changing economic climate and a need for flexible software engineering and development services. As film studios and business corporations exercise prudential financial management, a shift started towards engaging ISV's more directly, albeit short-term, as part of their R&D strategy without the human resources and associated costs. This enables companies to be agile in the current business environment. Stockholm, Sweden; Grid VFX.

This suite enables a digital artist to load Naiad's EMP file into a 3Delight DSO procedural for rendering. No Maya geometry is created, hence it is suited for rendering/lighting purposes. This suite also contains an EMP to Alembic converter, which may be used to address the needs of TD's who wish work with EMP as actual geometries within Maya. Watch video demonstrations of NaiadTools on Vimeo. For pricing and licensing details, please contact us. All right are reserved.

http://dam-i-nation.blogspot.com/2008/09/lazy-blogger.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2008. OK, so starting a blog sounds like fun when you are unemployed and not that busy, but when life gets interesting, blogs die. which has happened to mine. so here are some updates! I started work full time at Torus Games. Some months ago, which has been busy. I am working with my mate Aidan from my Iloura days. Really friendly studio, great animation team. I am getting to do some TD stuff as well, which is cool. I am collaborating with an ex-colleague, Michael Elder. So thats a...
Dam-i-nation!: Deform Test
http://dam-i-nation.blogspot.com/2008/02/deform-test.html
Tuesday, February 19, 2008. I am working on a new facial rig that is deform/controller based rather than Shape-animation based. Here are some deformation tests. Squash,Stretch, Eee and Ooo extremes. Posted by Chris Dardis. Nice Chris. How long did that take? March 28, 2008 at 5:39 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Aaron Clement - Animator. Ben Mars - Animator/Director. Dam-i-nation!: Inter-Face!
http://dam-i-nation.blogspot.com/2008/02/inter-face.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2008. My rig now has an interface. It has been a great learning tool for scripting in the context of a productive project, much better than just learning by exercises. Dam-i-nation!: Quick Sync test
http://dam-i-nation.blogspot.com/2008/02/quick-sync-test.html
Saturday, February 23, 2008. Just a fast LipSync test slapping down default phenome poses from the control panel. Not too shabby for 10 mins work and no tweaking. I like the transitions between poses, fells so much less linear than shapes. (ignore the crappy tongue btw :) ). Posted by Chris Dardis. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Aaron Clement - Animator. Dam-i-nation!: Articulation
http://dam-i-nation.blogspot.com/2008/03/articulation.html
Thursday, March 13, 2008. With enough training, the human body can make some amazing shapes. I guess the main challenge is to make sure that your character has sufficiently flexible articulation to get to those poses as quickly and cleanly as possible. The girl in the following clip has an AMAZING range of motion, almost superhuman. I am using it as inspiration. Posted by Chris Dardis. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Aaron Clement - Animator. Ben Mars - Animator/Director. Brad Noble - Animator/TD.
