One woman's trip to hell . and back. Saturday, October 28, 2006. Supposedly the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Unfortunately, the shortest distance between me and the surgery I need seems to be a more zig-zagged trajectory, involving several different versions of what is to be done to me for the benefit of the insurance company, along with a liberal sprinkling of our cash. Click to see larger:. For December 6th and hopefully this time the line will go straight from here to there.

One woman's trip to hell . and back. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Surgery Countdown: Seven Days. The surgery is seven days away. We spent Monday filling out forms, producing insurance (or as I like to call it, UNsurance ) information and getting stuck with needles. It was like a Three Stooges movie, with two admins and the doctor and her Medical Assistant running around and literally bumping into each other. And can I just add that they had the absolute worst magazine selection ever? I don’t, but hello?

One woman's trip to hell . and back. Friday, September 29, 2006. Doc Guide article on ProDisc: Better than fusion! A great article on a study involving ProDisc that reports even more impressive numbers than the FDA. Posted by Ingrid Spangler at 7:38 AM. Links to this post. Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Right Normally, I wouldn't celebrate this kind of news, but when it means getting some money, at this point, I'm all for it! I love Mr. Tingle. Posted by Ingrid Spangler at 8:36 AM. Ghost Hunting Tips 101: July 2008
http://ghosthuntingtips101.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 5, 2008. So You Want To Be A Ghost Hunter? How I Became A Ghost Hunter! That night the girl that I was staying over night with and her older sister told us about the "ghost" in the house. The house was supposed to be haunted. They also told us that the rumors were that someone had been killed or committed suicide in the house. The girls that lived there, sort of smirked and said something along the lines of I told you so! Needless to say none of us got any sleep that night! I had chill bum...

One woman's trip to hell . and back. Sunday, May 28, 2006. I've put off writing anything as I don't have a whole lot to say that I haven't already said, probably more than once. Pain, stiffness, can't walk, blah, blah, blah. But being cooped up and unable to do lots of really simple things is starting to weigh on me. I'm tired of not being able to walk. One of my "well-meaning" neighbors told me the other day that when I walked with my cane I resembled the R. Crumb "Keep on Truckin'. If I want to wash my...

One woman's trip to hell . and back. Friday, December 29, 2006. It's 18 days out from surgery now and I don't think this incision looks much different than it did here. It sure does itch and burn and hurt. I've lost the weight I managed to put back on just before the surgery; I guess 8 days of not eating anything but ice chips will do that to you. I don't recommend it as a weight-loss tool. Also, I'm very, very pale. Not sure what's up with that. Anyway, today I walked (gingerly! Wanna fight about it?

One woman's trip to hell . and back. Friday, April 28, 2006. This was the week that was . Not so good. The trains are rolling again, so to speak, and I’m able to take the Ultram again, thank goodness. I was a day and a half without it, and don’t want to go through that again. For some reason, the pain on my left side, through the hip and down in to my leg, is really, really. Bad along with some numbness in the leg and the bottom of my foot. Any.
