Something New Learned Today: Retrieve recently closed tab in Firefox shortcut

http://somethingnewlearnedtoday.blogspot.com/2008/05/retrieve-recently-closed-tab-in-firefox.html

Something New Learned Today. Sunday, May 11, 2008. Retrieve recently closed tab in Firefox shortcut. In Firefox on Mac OS X pressing Command Shift T will re-open the last tab you just closed. This can be super useful if you accidentally closed a tab you didn't mean to. I believe the equivalent shortcut in Windows is Control Shift T and you can also right click another tab and choose to "Undo Close Tab". Something simple I never knew about before today so I thought I'd share. Posted by Nick Woods.

Something New Learned Today. Sunday, May 4, 2008. Mac OS X Shortcuts. Not that you couldn't find this with a quick Google search but since I mentioned keyboard shortcuts the other day and I'm a huge keyboard shortcut maniac I thought I'd post a few links to some shortcuts in Mac OS X to get you power users moving:. Something New Learned Today. Monday, October 13, 2008. Open targeted links in Safari in new tab instead of new window. If you are tired of having a new window pop up all of the time for targeted links in the Safari browser on Mac OS X look no further.  Just open up a terminal window and execute the following command then make sure to restart Safari:. Defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true. Posted by Nick Woods. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Something New Learned Today: Securing GMail Notifier (Mac OS X & Windows)

http://somethingnewlearnedtoday.blogspot.com/2008/05/securing-gmail-notifier-mac-osx-and.html

Something New Learned Today. Friday, May 2, 2008. Securing GMail Notifier (Mac OS X and Windows). I realized today that all of my data was being sent in the clear from the Google Notifier's I'm using on my Windows and Mac machines which isn't the most secure and could reveal some sensitive info especially when using public hotspots. Doing a bit of research I discovered the following tips:. Http:/ www.macosxhints.com/article.php? Pull down the Notifier menu (either Calendar or Gmail), hold down.

Something New Learned Today. Saturday, May 3, 2008. Setting Up Subversion (Mac OS X and Xcode). I finally decided that I'm doing enough local development to warrant source control so I decided to configure a local Subversion repository on my Mac and integrate with Xcode. Here's a pretty easy to follow tutorial to help set you up. Http:/ developer.apple.com/tools/subversionxcode.html. And some decent documentation about Subversion. Http:/ svnbook.red-bean.com/. Something New Learned Today. Saturday, May 10, 2008. Locking Mac OS X Screen Quickly. So, there are lots of ways it turns out like using "hot corners" to lock your screen, but one interesting way is to run the "Keychain Access" utility and choose "Preferences." and check "Show Status in Menu Bar" to get a little lock icon on the toolbar from which you can choose to lock the machine. Ravindar, Biztalk Developer and Administrator

Ravindar, Biztalk Developer and Administrator. Just another BizTalk blog. Testing multi part message map in BizTalk. There are instances where you want to test a map with multipart input message (more than one input message). The usual approach is to do a test map and take the auto generated sample file, edit it with required data. This is really a tedious task. There is a nice tool developed by Tomasso to easily select the sample files and create a merged message and execute map from the tool. This is b...
