Tales of a Programming Chef

Tales of a Programming Chef. Sunday, June 21, 2015. What better way to travel back to Disney World than through Brazil? I guess it may be a little more south than you need to go, but it's worth it to get some mo-cake-ah! The mocequa fish stew was pretty good. I had very high hopes for it with all the colorful ingredients that went in but it came out a little bland. Maybe I should've added more salt? But what I thought it really needed was more zip. The Poblano peppers didn't add very much spice at al...

Tales of a Programming Chef: 07.10

http://www.programmingchef.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Tales of a Programming Chef. Saturday, July 17, 2010. Roasted Summer Squashes with Caper Gremolata. Accidentally bought regular parsley instead of flat parsley but I don't think that made much of a difference. I did slice up my zucchini because I don't think they were as small as the recipe called for and I was afraid they wouldn't get soft and tender if I didn't chop them up into bite size pieces. The capers and lemon juice really make the veggies pop. Have I mentioned how super easy the whole dish is?

Tales of a Programming Chef: 08.10

http://www.programmingchef.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Tales of a Programming Chef. Saturday, August 14, 2010. WPF Ribbon Control officially released! And then right away in 2010 decided this was a bad idea and gave us our File menu back. Then one day a few weeks ago I was watching a demo of a competitor's new product that happened to use a ribbon at the top for it's main navigation. And you know what? So last weekend I finally got VS 2010 and Expression 4 installed on here and then downloaded the Ribbon Control and sample files. After messing around with st...

Tales of a Programming Chef: Build-A-Font Workshop

http://www.programmingchef.blogspot.com/2013/02/build-font-workshop.html

Tales of a Programming Chef. Sunday, February 24, 2013. My dreams have finally come true! That's right, today I created my very own fonts. It was so easy and fun, I might just make some more tonight! I'm very thankful that the makers of iFontMaker decided to make a Windows 8 version of their app. I was seriously contemplating getting an iPad just so I could use it. What better way to show off my cool new fonts than on some of my delicious food pictures? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tales of a Programming Chef: 04.11

http://www.programmingchef.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Tales of a Programming Chef. Sunday, April 10, 2011. March was a pretty busy birthday month around the office. And when you throw St. Patrick's Day and my mom's birthday into the mix, my kitchen had dirty dishes in the sink pretty much every night. I started out by going a little crazy chopping up a few peanut butter cups. Forty of them to be exact. Yep, just a few. Okay maybe more like a mountain of them. All that chopping was well worth it. Yum. Peanut Butter Cup Rice Krispies Treats. And then St. ...

minne{BAKER}: January 2012

http://minnebaker.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Adventures of a novice baker. Sunday, January 22, 2012. Two weekends ago was all about Butterfly Birthday. Cakes The following week I got to work with my friend/coworker, Amanda. On Fairy Birthday cakes for one of our coworker's daughters. It was actually a double birthday party for two little girls from the same playgroup - both turning 2. The order included 36 cupcakes and two 6-inch birthday girl cakes - and of course I had to throw in some sugar cookies as a little surprise! Then Amanda and I looked ...
