I'm not really sure what will happen here. I just wanted to make the space available to catch all of the stuff that doesn't really belong anywhere else. I've got some ideas, though.

What the hell is this? This is the space that will be used to perpetuate those god-awful funk things flitting around in my head. The writing is nearing completion, and recording will soon commence. Look for this before the end of 2010. Stay tuned.it could be interesting.

Ambient

The name is exactly as it implies: Binary - for the digital aspect of the music; and Treadmill - for the fact that it is music that really goes nowhere.it just sort of runs in place. I can't really tell much about how it will sound, because I really don't know how to adequately define it. It will definitely be different. I have been thinking of adding some ambient strings to it.just because. We'll see.

Through the bottom of my glass. Tuesday, May 02, 2006. As the stomach churns. Friday and Saturday, April 14th and 15th. Mingo's, Granite City, Il. Hi ho, kids! Yeah, I haven’t blogged much recently. I sat down to analyze why, and some interesting answers struck me as to the reason. Part of it is time management, to be sure. I’m a busy guy, a part time father, and an active social/poker life. Part of it is because of the bittersweet comfort that Rock Bottom has become. Nothing much to share, anyway. I do ...

Through the bottom of my glass. Wednesday, May 03, 2006. Take one for the team. Friday and Saturday, April 28. This weekend looked to be quite a hectic schedule for me. And my darling oldest daughter had a softball tournament in. And my darling youngest daughter had a soccer game here in Granite. Game One of the tourney started at 7:45pm on Friday night. I was scheduled to start at 501 at 10ish. I was completely throwing off his rhythm, showing up way, way to early for his tastes. It’s mostly small talk.

Through the bottom of my glass. Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Friday and Saturday nights, May 5. We returned to Mingo’s for our third weekend in six weeks or so. That’s a lot of shows in one place in a short amount of time, but we were very comfortable there. It’s becoming a second home of sorts. Steve and I play cards there on Wednesday’s now, and with all the gigs, we’re becoming regulars, I suppose. Friday night wasn’t much different than any other night. Break one, swap guitars, move on. I broke it toward...

PJS Strings
http://www.metalsmithmusik.com/Strings.html
Currently, there are two string quartets under the proverbial quill (really, it's more under the cursor). These both have a somewhat rhythmic-based theme to open, then wander off from there. As both seem to be coming along swimmingly, I cannot say which I will finish first. While I thoroughly enjoy classical era music, as well as some from later eras, I have been most strongly influenced by the music of the baroque era. Some of my more powerful influences are as follows:. Sonata #1 in A. Sonata #2 in Eb.
