In May of 2010, the Carbon Capture and Sequestration Regulatory (CCSReg) Project released model legislation titled The Carbon Capture and Sequestration Regulatory Act of 2010. This model legislation implements recommendations from the CCSReg Project, which are presented in the Project policy briefs. The goal of this model legislation is to spur discussion in Congress on addressing barriers to deployment of large-scale geologic sequestration and present legislative language that could be easily adopted.
