Cataloging the process of remodeling our house. Sunday, November 14, 2010. The concrete floors for the main and top floors were poured today. Finally! Pumping concrete in through the front door. You may remember that we have hydronic heating which means that the heating occurs through hot water flowing through Pex tubing coils encased in concrete. We haven't decided on the coloring of that concrete, but we have some time before the acid-etching process. Swiss Pearl on southeast corner.
Project 610: Nineteen Ninety Four

Cataloging the process of remodeling our house. Sunday, January 17, 2010. It was my first home after renting either houses or apartment complex units for seven years since graduating from MIT. The house was on the smaller side, but it was all I really needed. Small was good as it meant less to clean and everything that I used daily was on the main floor from including the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, office, and living space. Pretty simple life. In any event, there was not a lot of space for two or more a...

The city of Seattle requires that:. 2 a minimum of 50% of the building materials by weight (excluding a...

The year: 2008 The project: HOME EXPANSION The sanity level: UNKNOWN. Monday, November 24, 2008. When writing the review for Kudzu.com on DPS, I had no idea it was limited to 250 words. You can't write a good review in that amount of space! And here is the full, expanded review of our experience with DPS. The construction site was kept clean, and DPS did as much as they could to minimize the impact of construction on our daily lives. This was of utmost importance as we have three childr...
