Tuesday, August 11, 2015. DIY Ombre Sunset Love Birds Wood Art. This is my favorite wood art project so far. I loved the lovebirds but I really wanted them to have a sunset in the background. I browsed a couple Ombre painting techniques and came up with my own technique. I've been using more of a "color wash" (watered down paint) technique on wood, so the grain shows through. I wanted to keep this effect in my sunset project. Continue blending the rest of the colors and let it dry. And fill it in! I star...

Saturday, July 18, 2015. This is our night time saying. I saw this once at a craft fair for $40, I loved it, but I was too cheap to buy it, but I did start saying it to the kids at bed time. 8 years later, I made my own sign $0, bam! Teachers name plats - 2 easy 45 degree cuts and some paint. Smitten with the Mitten! Here are super easy tutorials on how to make the pallet "canvas". The letters didn't come out right, but I love the tree! Welcome Sign, I need to hang this one! Welcome to Jocee Inpsirations!

Thursday, November 7, 2013. Trefoil Pattern to print. In preparation for potentially making more cookie costumes I sat down today and made a printable pattern for the Trefoil costume! It takes many sheets of paper, so make sure your printer is stocked! The Inner Detail patter:. Now get ready to tape! For the outline, this will be the base that you will sew the inner design onto. The outline is only half of the trefoil, because you can cut on the fold of the fabric to insure that the outline is symmetric.

Dowels (size isn't very important as long as you have a drill bit that is just a tad bigger). Mark a straight line down the center of the 2X4 along the length and width of the board. After the ...

Before you know it that little container that you use to hold your hair bows and such is overflowing, then you have two. and searching through those containers is a pain! Project Bon Bon: Our refinished dining room table

http://www.projectbonbon.blogspot.com/2015/07/our-refinished-dining-room-table.html

Saturday, July 18, 2015. Our refinished dining room table. We have a beautiful Amish Oak Dining room set. It was a fine set, structurally, but years of wear had taken it's toll on the finish. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the table before we started, but this is the only before shot I could find of the finish. Ick. We started with the leaves, to make sure we weren't going to really screw it up. I was amazed how white the wood was after all of the sanding. 1 layer of stain. 3 layers of stain.
