Project BudBurst Scientist Blog: July 2012

http://projectbudburst.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 23, 2012. Road trip to Montana Part I. While Yellowstone is most famous for geysers and wildlife, it has has a rich assortment of wildflowers that bloom in summer so it is a great place to make Project BudBurst observations too! Coulter Bay, Grand Teton National Park, 6772' elev. At the same time? Sand dropseed, blue grama. I was hoping to see a lot more spring or early summer wildflowers up in Yellowstone where the elevations would be more like 7 or 8,000', and they did not have the intense...

Project BudBurst Scientist Blog: Spring has finally sprung in Chicago! But is it as late as it seems?

http://projectbudburst.blogspot.com/2013/05/spring-has-finally-sprung-in-chicago.html

Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Spring has finally sprung in Chicago! But is it as late as it seems? Trout lilies, Trillium and Mayapples. In the woods at Chicago Botanic Garden;. Photo courtesy of Kay Havens. I had the pleasure of walking through the Mary Mix McDonald Woods at Chicago Botanic Garden this week to enjoy the amazing display of spring wildflowers. This year, it sure felt like spring was a long time coming. Especially compared to last year when it came remarkably early. By Swink and Wilhelm (1994).

Project BudBurst Scientist Blog: November 2011

http://projectbudburst.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 22, 2011. A few observations before the break for the holidays. November 20, 2011, Berthoud Colorado (5030' elev., in a park lawn). This month we continue to see how this weird weather is effecting our local plants. The latest weird thing was to see a new dandelion flower! Not so unusual if you are in Alabama or Florida but for 5,030' elevation in Colorado in late November this is quite bizarre! Please post your sightings. And questions on the budburst facebook page. Don't forget to sub...

Friday, May 25, 2012. Cruising Home- The Last Leg of the PBB RoadTrip. Today is the last day of our road trip. We are having a lot of fun visiting new places, meeting new people and making Project BudBurst observations, but it will be nice to be home again too. After breakfast, we pack up the car and drive north out of Council Bluffs to the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge. Layers of silt from the flooding can still by seen throughout the Refuge. A Goatsbeard at DeSoto NWR. Thursday, May 24, 2012. RoadTri...

Project Buddha Baby | our journey to start a family

Our journey to start a family. I’m wondering what “tools” you guys used that worked better for TTC? I already have a Fertility Friend account and use the app, which works great (I don’t have the paid account, just the free one). Also, what about forums and message boards? Different friends have recommended What to Expect, The Bump, BabyCenter, and Countdown to Pregnancy. I don’t really want to be active on ALL of them, so I’m wondering which ones you used (if any) and which you prefer? I cannot stop watc...
