My 1967 mustang that resists it's restoration in every way possible. Friday, January 16, 2015. Dash Removed and A Pillar Repairs. Since the dash at this point is only held on by a couple of welds, I decided to pull it out of the car. This should make it much easier to work on the necessary repairs. I proceeded to clean it up with my wire wheel and grinder. With the dash out of the car it was much easier to avoid those angry , screaming badgers ( Alex found one during his dash cleanup. My 1967 mustang that resists it's restoration in every way possible. Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The little things add up. When last we left off, I had removed the dash and cowl, and was working on the a-pillar. I know it has been a while since that post, but things have been progressing. I just haven't managed to get around to writing about it. Cut the offending piece out after lining the new side piece up with the cowl and firewall. Here it is from the inside. Fitting and sizing up the new piece. Cowl r...

My 1967 mustang that resists it's restoration in every way possible. Friday, December 19, 2014. I'm Back.and Cowl Removal. I had some birthday money and I decided that I would spend it on a portable car garage and an air compressor. Happy Birthday to me! Next on the list was to get started on the cowl. With the help of my new air hammer, I drilled out the spot welds and quickly separated the whole thing from the car. The upper cowl wasn't as bad as it could be, but the lower cowl is a complete lo...I do ...

Ugly rust at the back.

My 1967 mustang that resists it's restoration in every way possible. Friday, November 22, 2013. Right frame rail, digging in. I can see the rust poking out from the extension, how far does it really go? Bulging seams, I'll have to cut some metal away and find out how much is still good. The ugly, yep it goes all the way through. Doesn't seem so bad on this side, we'll have to wait and see. Extension off. That is really ugly. Yep, ugly here as well. Not as bad, but I will still replace this side as well.
