This blog page is all about my MCC SALT placement in South Africa. Thursday, August 27, 2009. I think so, I hope so, I know so! Well since the last I blogged, we have gone to a local market, oh how the produce is cheap! Visited an animal park, how fun! Attended a Mennonite Brothers Church Service in Durban, message spoken in French but translated in English and dance with the church people! Relaxed on the Durban beach, and enjoyed a Frisbee game with a stray dog joining in! We were spoiled with many bake...

Kendra's African Adventures: April 2010
http://southafricanzuluadventures.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
This blog page is all about my MCC SALT placement in South Africa. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Ode to my uGogo. This past week my family and I have been saying sad goodbyes to a very wonderful lady, my uGogo. My uGogo as I will refer to her now while I’m still living in South Africa was probably one of the most influential persons in my life. She was loving, caring, supportive, creative, and most importantly a woman of faith who loved God. Last month one of my fellow SwaLeSa SALTers, Simon in Lesotho.

http://southafricanzuluadventures.blogspot.com/2010/05/april-showers-bring-may-flowers.html
This blog page is all about my MCC SALT placement in South Africa. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. April Showers Bring May Flowers. May 1st, 2010. Well April showers bring May flowers, is the saying back home at this time of year. But I here in SA I haven’t heard the saying yet! I have been told that in some areas of SA, you can find snow during the winter. It almost seems wrong to say that it snows in Africa! Selling goods from your car boot! We had all types of goods being sold, from a lawn mower to cupcakes, ...

http://southafricanzuluadventures.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
This blog page is all about my MCC SALT placement in South Africa. Friday, November 13, 2009. November 12, 2009. I have to admit now that my time is now really flying bye. I left home over 3 months ago, and have about 8 months left. The last couple of weeks I have noticed I have been keeping busy on weekends, which is good. What I didn’t expect or shall I say how ill-equipped I was for this picnic/hike I soon found out. I had decided not to wear my hikers (what was I thinking! This coming weekend has tur...

Kendra's African Adventures: January 2010
http://southafricanzuluadventures.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
This blog page is all about my MCC SALT placement in South Africa. Monday, January 25, 2010. January 23, 2010. One of my goals here in SA is to learn a little Zulu. Zulu I find is not easy. There are different click sounds for different letters, to name a few the c, ch, q and x. I have not mastered any clicks, since these clicks are different for how you place your tongue in your month to make the click sound. But I have learned a few words. So bit by bit I am learning Zulu. What Do I Do? January 23, 2010.

Erik in Lesotho: August 2012
http://erikinlesotho.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. I have had an eventful week here in Lesotho. I have had a great time getting to know the area and what kind of job I will be doing in the school for the next year. It has taken quite a bit to get used to how the school is run down here, very different than else where that I have experienced. My host family is a lot of fun, even if I do not understand them most of the time. The weather is not quite as cold as I fear but still cool. Then I tried to teach them about Canada but they ...
