Welcome to the Project Linus chapter website for Bakersfield, Kern, and Tulare Counties. I am Michele Willis and I am the Chapter Coordinator for Project Linus in our areas. Project Linus has been in existence nationwide for about 20 years with over 350 chapters. Our chapter in Kern County started as of December 2005. Project Linus is a volunteer organization that is devoted to helping comfort children.

It was brought to my attention that I had some confusing information about batting, tying and quilting in my recent newsletter. This is what I was trying to say:. Quilts should be tied or quilted no further apart than 4" (approximately the width of your fist). Batting will disintegrate if tied or quilted any further apart. Posted by Donna Aten.
