Many of the sets of wargames rules covering the period are really designed for either the earlier pike and shot era or the later Seven Years War and do not reflect enough of the particular flavour of the War of the Spanish Succession. I am slowly working my way through a few of the likely candidates in the hope of finding that utopian perfect set.
