But the story has been muddied by the exist...

Rants and ravings about flying, IT and technical theatre. Laquo; Bruntingthorpe Open Day. Search the A4A web. The elitist image that is attached, unfairly, to our community, and the apparent apathy within our community isolates us, marginalises us, and makes us easy prey for politicians, councils, and lobbyists. By the active promotion of the benefits of an airfield as an asset to the local community, we can make it a good deal more difficult for opposition campaigns to gather momentum. How you can help. And we'll publicise it here. BBC Children in need. Women in the Air. Produced by AOPA-US,...

Maybe it is the relative unfamiliarity but I think there is something undeniably cool about the desert camouflage the RAF and Allies used in their combat operations in North Africa and the Mediterranean during WWII. . Dark earth and mid stone paintwork, scuffed by the sand and faded by the heat and dust, blends perfectly with the landscapes they were operating over. My latest picture.
