Repetition

A project about the concept of repetition. The question I've asked in the introduction to my sketchbook is 'Is the repetition seen in so much art truly repetition - and does it matter? Friday, 10 June 2011. Project end - I think (but probably not). In hindsight I should have made less work - I think the fact that I made five pieces (as shown in this blog) was simply down to me 'showing off'. It had also necessitated me working non stop including throughout the weekends of the project. Monday, 9 May 2011.

A project about the concept of repetition. The question I've asked in the introduction to my sketchbook is 'Is the repetition seen in so much art truly repetition - and does it matter? Saturday, 7 May 2011. Tomorrow when I've finished working on the Narcissus work, and hopefully finalised this projects sketchbook, I'll then look at the sketchbooks from the previous two terms which also have to handed in at assessment time. A project about the concept of repetition. The question I've asked in the introduction to my sketchbook is 'Is the repetition seen in so much art truly repetition - and does it matter? This is the image I used in my sketchbook. And again I believe that like Lisa Milroy's work his aim is to get the viewer to stand back and consider the image rather than him trying to represent any obsession he might have.
