Every end is a new beginning! For the Vasile family, the completion of Ena’s education at the Ruth School so many years ago was just the beginning of the journey for this family to success. It was in September of 2010 during the. Towards the end of May, the United Way of Romania organized the first of what is to be an annual event. The Ruth School is committed to giving education to the marginalized and disadvantaged, particularly for those coming from Roma (Gypsy) families in order to help them reach their highest potential. Through education, the Ruth School seeks to assist in the inclusion of Roma in society as well as their future educational endeavors (high school, vocational schools, etc.). Project Ruth is a ministry of Fundatia Providenta, a charitable organization registered in Romania.

Child Protection and Safety receives the highest priority at King's Church. We endeavour as far as is humanly possible to keep every child in our care safe from harm. We follow the Baptist Union's 'Safe To Grow' guidelines and have an agreed child protection policy reviewed annually. Our children's and young people's workers and volunteers are given Criminal Record Bureau Enhanced Checks. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. South Boston, VA. We arrived to South Boston last Wednesday in time to join First Baptist for their weekly meal and prayer time. They invited us to share with the church about Project Ruth and our time in Romania. Susan and Poo (our host). Friday was our last day in South Boston. Mickey and Ben had decided to show us some sites of South Boston like Berry Hill (an old plantation) and The Prizery (where tobacco was sent to be sold). We even saw our first tobacco field.
