A blog dedicated to love of fashion and fun of sewing. A blog dedicated to love of fashion and fun of sewing. Tuesday, July 01, 2014. 12:16 PM by Kendin Dik. I've been dreaming about a dress for a month. I don't have a commercial pattern ready and I don't have the skills to make the pattern from scratch. So, as always, I rely on my skills for altering existing patterns and make a seasoned pattern salad :). Here is the target. It's a part of Carven Resort Collectin 2014. For the pattern, I'm thinking abou...

A Fresh Page: May 2014
http://a-fresh-page.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, 29 May 2014. So, I made a Victoria Sponge. An Egg-free, dairy free Victoria sponge. AND IT WAS AMAZING. I got the recipe from this wonderful blog. Which I am totally in love with, especially the cookies, which I will likely do a post on at a later date. But, for now, I shall discuss the cake! Please excuse my slightly grubby ironing board. And just place it on top of the cake. It worked pretty well, as you can see from my WORK OF ART. Labels: Cooking and Baking. Thursday, 22 May 2014. This was ...

Easy swim cover-ups | Kathleen Sews
https://kathleensews.wordpress.com/2014/07/19/easy-swim-cover-ups
A portfolio of my sewing projects. July 19, 2014. I found some cute beach towels on sale last week, then went surfing on pinterest to find easy cover-ups that I could make out of them. My main requirement was that the towel was still useable as a towel… ie, it could lay flat. Plus, I only picked up one towel for my daughter and one for myself, so any two-towel methods were not going to work. Then I found this pin. Ignore the Olaf photo bombs, LOL, my daughter was not into posing! Two small hair elastics.

Girl’s patriotic outfit | Kathleen Sews
https://kathleensews.wordpress.com/2013/06/06/girls-patriotic-outfit
A portfolio of my sewing projects. Girl’s patriotic outfit. June 6, 2013. I made this patriotic dress for my daughter right before Memorial Day. And as I mentioned, I was a little concerned that the points on the cutout star on the back wouldn’t stay up over time. True enough, after a couple washes, they started flopping around. So I got some thin red ribbon (with cute little white polka dots) and went about solving the problem! 8221; tutorial from ikat bag. Once I had the pocket sewn together and fl...

Lille Krokodille: Project Sewn - The Fashion Era Challange
http://krokodilledesign.blogspot.com/2013/10/project-sewn-fashion-era-challange.html
Bestilling og Kontakt / Orders and contact. Torsdag 10. oktober 2013. Project Sewn - The Fashion Era Challange. I love clothes inspired by the 70's. And I made these trousers for a friend who does too - and I don't have any action shots. Hard to tell from the picture, but these are slightly flared, have a very 70's colour combination and the pockets are made from real 70's vintage fabric that I found in a second hand store. Pattern: Farbenmix Helgoland, with some changes. Lagt inn av LilleKrokodille.
