I Sing, I Dream, I Love, Anyway
http://isingidreamiloveanyway.blogspot.com/2012/03/bentons-birthday-its-little-strange.html
Wednesday, March 21, 2012. It's a little strange looking back at these pictures of Benton's 3rd birthday last week. How can I possibly have a three year old grandson when it feels like his father was this age just a few years ago? Where does the time go? Benton seemed to like his super hero cape and wanted to wear it right away. He wasn't too sure about the mask. He kept asking for it calling it "eyes" but would only leave it on for a few seconds. February 22, 2012. There's no candles on the cake but it ...

I Sing, I Dream, I Love, Anyway: I Remember When I Thought My Mom Was Old At 50!

Saturday, July 21, 2012. I Remember When I Thought My Mom Was Old At 50! My mom turned 50 just a few weeks before I got married and I remember thinking she was so old. How is it that she is exactly the same to me at 80 as she was at 50 but I am nothing at 52 like I was at 22? It's not fair that I have gotten older and my mother doesn't seem to have aged a bit. I can only hope that I look and live as good at 80 as my mom does. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Prom Queen for Life. Cheezy smile for church.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Eleventh From The Bottom, Not a Bad Place To Be. My cousin Ronnie passed away last week. We honored him today and in reflecting on him and his life it has made me reflect on my relationship with the rest of my extended family, mostly the friends that I call cousins. Of the 45 cousins on my mom's side of the family I am eleventh from the bottom. Not a bad place to be in my opinion. So goodbye Ronnie. You will be missed. We will see you again and when we do it will be o...I lov...

Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Grant came in third place, out of 12, at his first Pinewood Derby. Not too bad for a first timer. He designed his car and I cut it out on the skill saw. Then he got to sand it and paint it. I couldn't talk him into adding any stickers or stripes or anything. I do think he picked an awesome color though! I also used my digi scrapping stash of Cub themed kits to make these fun certificates. If you're interested you can find the kit designers in the credits here. Prom Queen for Life.

Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Today Is A Bittersweet Day. Thursday, February 16, 2012. February 14, 2012. Bailie had so much fun pasting pieces of cut up scrap paper. She was very particular about where she wanted each piece. Of course I helped her put the letters in the right spot but everything else was all her. We were testing out our gluey finger tips that were sticking together. Benton joined us just in time to add some Valentine stickers. We Have A New Wolf In The Family. February 8, 12. We are so ...

Tuesday, July 26, 2011. My Baby Is Accountable. Grant turned eight on the 24th. Eight is a big deal in our family. As Latter Day Saints we believe that eight is the age where a person becomes accountable for their choices. Before this age we don't believe a child is capable of sin (although I have known some pretty wicked six year olds. hahaha). That is why we don't get baptized in our church until we are eight years old. He got a special birthday breakfast. A new bike with handle brakes and a kick stand...

Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Cub Scout Camp Round Twelve. Aug 1-4, 2011. These are all the boys in our Pack ages 8 through 10. Two of these boys have actually moved up to 11 year old Scouts now. Putting some paint on the sailboat he made the day before. Grant putting the final touches on the periscope he built. I love the wood projects they do at day camp! That is Grant trying to look through the sight on his gun without actually touching the gun. At least he obeys the rules. :). Sunday, August 21, 2011.
