This is a basket filled with teeny tiny laundry. I thoroughly enjoyed (thoroughly enjoyed? Washing and folding each and every bit of it. I’m sure glad babies are born so small, because suddenly laundering clothes for a teenager would be an entirely different scenario. That pesky white out-of-focus area is not a trick of the camera, just the baby bump making its first appearance on the blog. Our little nugget is scheduled to arrive soon… t minus 6 weeks and counting! It was filed under MISC.

I’m proud of myself (and my hormonal memory) for remembering that I had first heard Christina Perri’s song “Jar of Hearts” on So You Think You Can Dance. And, did you know that VH1 actually plays music videos in the mornings? I guess that’s their version of “paid programming” in the early hours. If you tune in, you’re sure to hear this song because it’s on their Top 20 rotation. Congrats to our fave show SYTYCD for helping this artist get a break! And it is wonderful. Watch it here.

Thursday, June 23, 2011. I did not die of dysentery. Ages ago, I promised an Oregon trip picspam, and I'm finally delivering! I had a really lovely time visiting Kathleen and Noah over Memorial Day weekend. I was there for four days, and while there, I made the following observations:. I found it ironic that an area that's so infamously "green" has an economy that relies so heavily economically on the foresting industry. However, they are required by law to replant, which is pretty cool. We had to hike t...

Friday, February 22, 2013. In which I bitch and whine. Not sorry. My parents are getting a dog. I'm not entirely okay with this. It's not my decision, and it's really not any of my business since I don't live there anymore - plus, they're getting a sheltie and shelties are SO SUPER CUTE - but I visit them a lot, and ew, it's still a dog. Dogs smell like dog and they drool and bark and run around and sometimes you have to touch them. Even when you don't want to (which is always). I think this all just goe...

Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Aw, dammit, my mom found the printer already. Nuts. Monday, March 11, 2013. To take my old college printer with me when I left. (Joke's on her - it's on the bottom shelf hidden behind a board game. I'm waiting to see how long it'll take her to notice.) Everything looks gorgeous now - I even polished the wood - and my dad is forbidden from storing anything directly in front of the shelves ever again. (We'll see how well that works.). In which I make up for not blogging by rambling for a very long time, which is obviously everyone's favorite style of blogging. Thursday, February 6, 2014. They moved it in this morning, and I stopped by over lunch to arrange things. I'm very pleased with it. My room looks a lot more like a room now, and less like a packed-in jumble of furniture. :) The only downside is that this is almost as far from the modem as you can get, so movies/youtube videos/etc won't stream well, but I think I'll live. Wednesday, February 5, 2014. February update, and other creative descriptors. Nothing like joyful, important news to put things in perspective. It's sunny this afternoon, which has been wonderful. Last I heard, it was supposed to snow all day. I took my lunch break at a deli that has big, south-facing windows, and sat in the sunshine and read and ate delicious cheddar-smothered roast beef deliciousness, then picked up a coffee on my way back to work. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. I decided to do Luna Jubilee's 52 weeks of color though I have every expectation I will fall behind at some point since so far my experience is that this is harder than it looks! I'm undaunted though and carrying on. The first week's color is Champagne. And I had a devil of a time deciding on an outfit. I wore two or three around trying to settle on something until I found this gorgeous dress from Purple Moon. I also splurged on the Chloe skin from Belleza and that's what I'm w...
