Bean Counting Surfer: December 2005
http://beancountingsurfer.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Surfing Sucks. Don't try it. Now printed on recycled internet! Monday, December 19, 2005. The one day (Sunday) I go south to surf, I get a bunch of closeouts. Got to the South Bay around 8, but didn't stay in the water too long because I had to be in the LBC by10:30 and the high tide started showing. Caught one wave, stood up and went straight. Oh well, next time. Good times. guess you had to be there. actually, good you thing weren't. I finally caught the bug! Posted by BeanCountingSurfer at 3:06 PM.

Surfing Sucks. Don't try it. Now printed on recycled internet! Monday, June 20, 2005. So Friday night, my buddy calls me at 10:30pm and says, "Hey, come down and let's surf tomorrow! First, I haven't surfed with him for months and its Newport. Saturday morning rolls around, I wake up at 6, take his bike (yes, he lives that damn close! My face was burning the rest of the day. Look! Up in the Sky!: LudoBites 5.0: Last Night
http://gracefullee.blogspot.com/2010/09/ludobites-50-last-night.html
Up in the Sky! Friday, September 03, 2010. LudoBites 5.0: Last Night. Last night, I was stationed in the back where I learned a new dish - prawn cinnamon appetizer - I would have snuck a picture, but I felt the obligation to send the dish quickly while it was still hot. Just one of the many things I've learned. So this is what happens to someone who spends 5 nights out of the week trying to make things look pretty. Breakfast suddenly becomes more than just eggs and sausage. Well done, grace.

Up in the Sky! Saturday, September 04, 2010. Woke up this morning feeling slightly depressed because I knew I didn't have the intense experience of LudoBites ahead of me in the week. So I slept most of the day away out of exhaustion and slight depression. Luckily, I could ease my withdrawal with a simple chirashi I made from some of the raw tuna left over from the final night. The tuna is on the hot foie gras with dynamite (DY-NO-MITE! Sauce Picture compliments of blogger:. View my complete profile.
Look! Up in the Sky!: Week 3: Thank you, may I have another!?

Up in the Sky! Monday, August 09, 2010. Week 3: Thank you, may I have another! So I have more wonderful photos of a recent burn that happened when I was lifting a heavy pot from the back burner over a giant pot on the front burner, but I don't have my camera with me. I've spent the weekend watching my grandmother while my parents are out of town. It's very quiet here, but it's stressful trying to keep her from scorching garlic in the sautee pan. And in my head, I'm thinking "Thank you, may I have another!
Look! Up in the Sky!: Week 4: What Hurts
http://gracefullee.blogspot.com/2010/08/week-4-what-hurts.html
Up in the Sky! Sunday, August 15, 2010. Week 4: What Hurts. Below, I have shared some photos of blistered burns from Week 3. Chef saw my arms and said, "Now you look like a real cook! Oui, Chef. Thank you, Chef. I am learning which parts my hands and arms actually contain sensitive nerves. That fat part of my hand? Not so much. The blister fascinated me in its perfect bulbous beauty, but didn't hurt at all. The burns on my arms itched more than they hurt. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Look! Up in the Sky!: October 2009
http://gracefullee.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Up in the Sky! Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Better known as the pastry dough that forms cream puffs and eclairs, I tried out a savory version with chives, sprinkled with gruyere, and stuffed with fenugreek mashed potatoes. I've really learned a lot in my 8-week intro baking class. Prior to the class, I didn't think much about baking, but now I have a whole new appreciation for this art which creates such a variety of different products from a handful of standard ingredients. A Kathryn W. Davis Project for Peace in St Lucia's Mabouya Valley. August 21, 2009. Posted by zimmcardona under Personal Experinces. It is Sunday, and I will be leaving St. Lucia in a couple of days. I will leave the country but my heart will remain with the many homey St. Lucians who have welcomed me as if I was part of their family. For all this I am grateful, and will cherish them as dear friends. I have made many new friends who will always be close to my heart. St Lucia Projects for Peace. After a m...
