An attempt by a complete amateur to make money out of property development when I would probably have been better off putting it all on black (or red). Wednesday, 15 July 2009. Let's hope for a smoother passage this time than last. 22 July 2009 at 22:41. 22 July 2009 at 22:42. A double helping of good luck. 23 July 2009 at 06:06. 8 August 2009 at 22:10. It has taken a long time to get to exchange mainly caused by the speed the mortage companies seem to be working at. Fingers crossed for exchange next week.

http://amateurpropertydeveloper.blogspot.com/2008/09/starting-out.html

It is more expensive than Direct Line but there again, what is the point of having insurance if they will deny a claim because you weren't upfront in the first place. An attempt by a complete amateur to make money out of property development when I would probably have been better off putting it all on black (or red). Wednesday, 1 October 2008. I didn't enjoy reducing the offer as the person who will lose out (if the offer is accepted) is the person who 12 months ago would have had a nest egg of much greater proportions.
