Alice in Wonderland: January 2015
http://kathys-aliceinwonderland.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
January 17, 2015. You win some, you lose some. I've come to the conclusion, or so I think it’s a conclusion, that friends can come and go like the wind, and heaven knows I’ve written enough about the wind this past year, to make this point clear. It isn’t always nice. I was going to talk about love, but I’ve also worn THAT subject out. Was I too straight forward, too honest, to hurtful.to be believed or not, as I encompassed many people in that big lump of metaphorical dialogue? How many read my blogs?

Alice in Wonderland: April 2015

April 26, 2015. A Review THE FIRST BAD MAN by Miranda July. I “finally” finished reading Miranda July's novel, THE FIRST BAD MAN. It's only 276 pages, but I've been slogging through it for months, days going by, untouched. How do I want to view the nonsense in this story? I maybe should laugh, but I didn't find it that funny.just confusing.I should identify with them, but I don’t. I should smile, but I can’t. My face is frozen in shock and awe! Alice in Wonderland: February 2015
http://kathys-aliceinwonderland.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
February 28, 2015. Staying Alive, times have changed. Times are changing.as they should. It's been more than interesting to see how the "people's views" towards war and how to relate and deal with other countries during disagreements have changed over time. I remember Kissinger as a thoughtful, intelligent man, with a German accent.but who really knew that man? I do believe, since. Has become POTUS, we've (at least I have) started to listen to the side of reasonability, before our decisions reach the poin...

Alice in Wonderland: Review: The Secret Keeper, a novel by Kate Morton
http://kathys-aliceinwonderland.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-secret-keeper.html
July 23, 2015. Review: The Secret Keeper, a novel by Kate Morton. Getting down to the last one hundred pages of Kate Morton's "the Secret Keeper".As much as I love her writing, this story of 481 pages has been an uphill climb.climbing over her exquisite descriptive language is wearing.bouncing me from present to past, between two characters, then three, then four. better keep up! Kate Morton is a detailed writer, descriptive to the enth degree, both with her surroundings, actions, and characters, almost,...

Alice in Wonderland: November 2014
http://kathys-aliceinwonderland.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
November 16, 2014. In being asked to say a few words about why history on the subject of LGBTQ is important in the educational system and why this subject should be taken seriously, here are my answers. My thoughts on the subject directed me towards a young woman and new hero, Malala. A recent Nobel Peace Prize winner, and her strong and forthright voice for the advocacy of education for everyone. But my feelings. I am the mother of two adult daughters, and just because one is gay doesn’t change my...

Alice in Wonderland: The U.S.A., A Disquieted Country
http://kathys-aliceinwonderland.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-usa-disquieted-country.html
June 19, 2015. The US.A., A Disquieted Country. We've now incubated people who are anti-everything - fighting the laws, and along comes uncontrollable anger and hate.Freedom is a double edge sword. When people can't agree on what is right and what is wrong, what is morally acceptable and what is not, and because everyone disagrees, extremes take offense at what is done or said against THEIR beliefs. Anyone out there that is psychotic, without morals, and has a cause, is going to use a gun in the worst wa...

Alice in Wonderland: September 2014

September 25, 2014. Book Review: Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami. Haruki Murakami has to be one of my favorite writers and storytellers of all time, but I'm only giving this particular book three stars out of five, which is simply a "Good"; leaving me saddened, in my own personal feelings during my reading; saddened for the main character's feelings; and saddened in the overall writing of this story. Why do writers like Murakami stoop to an Austenesque melodrama?
