Thrills, Frills and Drills: November 2009
http://sugarmama-sugarmama.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thrills, Frills and Drills. Sunday, November 29, 2009. To blog.or not to blog? This is the question that has been on my mind these last few weeks. And I still have not reached a final decision! But then again, some things about blogging are too precious to just let go. Like the honour of having someone taking interest in what you write, and the joy of reading kind and encouraging comments. And the great privilege. So I will try to keep on blogging, without letting it become a burden. Click on this link a...

Thrills, Frills and Drills: Healthy eating
http://sugarmama-sugarmama.blogspot.com/2010/02/healthy-eating.html
Thrills, Frills and Drills. Thursday, February 4, 2010. I've heard many times, that gobbling up your food is not the ideal way to consume a meal. Rather one should chew his food slowly. This helps one to metabolise. Better, feel filled before and generally enjoy the meal better. Today I realised how true this is, because. As soon as I finish my meal, I start noticing what the kids are doing with theirs,. Eating with their hands. Feeding the dog off their plate. Soaking their sleeves in the food. Also, I ...

Thrills, Frills and Drills: December 2009
http://sugarmama-sugarmama.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thrills, Frills and Drills. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. I do not believe in evolution. However after reading that a goldfish has a memory span of 3 seconds, I sometimes do suspect that we might be distantly, or not so distantly, related to these cute little fishes. Sometimes kids do not do what they are told out of disobedience, or out of selective hearing. And let's not mention the innumerable hours (literally) spent looking for a toy because "I can't remember where I put it! I got there. Or how m...

Thrills, Frills and Drills: My brain is bubbling...

Thrills, Frills and Drills. Thursday, December 10, 2009. My brain is bubbling. I am going through a major mind-set change. There are many issues in my life that I am trying to re-think. And this typically sends me in tilt! I would like your help with one of the major issues in my head right now:. How do you keep the Sabbath (Sunday) holy? This is for Maltese readers (can't really translate because it won't make sense in English). Il-bierah ghedt lil Julia "Isa halli issa mmorru tas-Sliema". Click on this...

Thrills, Frills and Drills: Chilly weather
http://sugarmama-sugarmama.blogspot.com/2010/01/chilly-weather.html
Thrills, Frills and Drills. Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Cold weather has reached us too! I was so frustrated with the idea of having warm weather in December! This is the view from my balcony. It was raining heavily for most of the day and right now it is very, very windy. Many Maltese houses do not have central heating systems, and though cold weather last very little, the little we get can be difficult to endure. As I write, I have my gas heater "grilling" my side, and I am wearing a scarf! As for the...

Thrills, Frills and Drills: June 2009
http://sugarmama-sugarmama.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Thrills, Frills and Drills. Friday, June 26, 2009. This is a fun activity I did with the kids some days ago. All you need is. Give pictures of ladybugs. To kids for them to colour. Paint a spider on the kids' face. This is not necessary, but the kids will love it. In such a way so you can pass yarn through them, thus making the cobweb. Let the spiders catch the bugs, by hanging them with pegs on the yarn cobweb. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. We are painting the walls. And when I say WE, I mean it. The dog is...

Thrills, Frills and Drills: July 2009
http://sugarmama-sugarmama.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thrills, Frills and Drills. Friday, July 31, 2009. We need a shepherd dog. These days I have realised that things which are supposed to be relaxing, like taking a walk, can become quite stressful when you do them with/ for young kids. Take reading a book. My kids love them and I read to them everyday. So everyday we have to go through these hurdles to "enjoy" our books. First obstacle: where is everyone going to sit? I will let this picture speak for itself. Can you tell us the story? Secondly because my...
