Well, the duplex is close enough to to start showing. A few more nails and some cleaning and it's ready to rent. Well, since I blew most of the summer, I wanted to at least get some hardwood cut. So, I grabbed a load of blocks, a big ole wheelbarrow, and started cutting. Yes that is a 2 inch thick 16" wide plank of Cherry! 5 of them :-) I also cut some slabs of maple, of which some was splated. Just another person who recently decided simple is better.

Well, the palette of solar panels from the Evergreen bankruptcy finally showed up. Man, this is alot of panels. Now it's time to start building a ground mount. Although. I may not get to actually start building until spring. Not much snow so far, but the ground is pretty well frozen.Yes, the array is 40 feet wide! Roughly 6 kW :).

One more basic necessity provided. Well it's not concrete yet, but a few months of settling, a couple of layers of tamped sand and stone and it's close. It's a bit of a religious debate as to where the plastic should be (below stone or below concrete), but I needed to stop the moisture until the slab is poured, so. No hand tamping here.

Well, the new hydraulic cylinder seal kit finally came in. The repair was simple. well, the concept was simple, the repair was painful. The cylinder nut (the back one) was torqued to 275 ft/lbs and had lock-tight. For every 1/4 turn I had to hang from a 7 foot cheater bar which was attached to a 3 foor pipe wrench. WOW! Old Piston, New Piston.
