Monday, August 25, 2008. Sotoday is surgery day. It's almost 2am.and where am I? Oh, at work. I've been here for HOURS and haven't managed to do what I need to. I have issues letting go.so I'm avoiding. I need to get on the ball, though. It's only 7.5 hours until I have to be there, and 9 hours until surgery time. Yikes! I ran into Alisha Rios (Jones.Linda Rae's daughter) at Lagoon, too. I hadn't seen her in years, so it was a LOT of fun to chat with her for a bit :-) We were able to exchange num...So I ...

Über Y'all: Night and Day
http://uberall-de.blogspot.com/2009/02/night-and-day.html
What Happens When a Yankee, Ex-German Expat Puts Down Southern Roots. Thursday, February 5, 2009. Before the baby was born, I anticipated many long sleepless nights when the little guy just wouldn't settle down. So far, I'm happy to report that our nighttime routines have not lived up to this image. In fact, to some extent, I find that the nights are almost easier then the days. What's in a Name. This blog was originally called "Überall," which means "everywhere" or "everything" in German. It made se...

Über Y'all: The Potty Post
http://uberall-de.blogspot.com/2008/10/potty-post.html
What Happens When a Yankee, Ex-German Expat Puts Down Southern Roots. Monday, October 13, 2008. This post has been a long time in the making. For the last year I have encountered many bathrooms worthy of a photograph. More often than not I don't have my camera with me on these visits, but since being a tourist is my current occupation, I've had it with me enough to document a few of the most interesting restrooms that I've found. And so, without further ado, here is my collection of favorite restrooms.

Über Y'all: Raleigh Races for the Cure
http://uberall-de.blogspot.com/2009/06/raleigh-races-for-cure.html
What Happens When a Yankee, Ex-German Expat Puts Down Southern Roots. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Raleigh Races for the Cure. It took us nearly five minutes to cross the start line. Then, after another five minutes of walking - hoping that the crowds would clear up - Kevin offered to walk with the stroller while I ran the course. I had been running once a week with a group of other new mothers getting ready for the race, so I took him up on the offer and left the two of them in the dust. What's in a Name.

What Happens When a Yankee, Ex-German Expat Puts Down Southern Roots. Monday, April 20, 2009. Celebrating Earth Day and a Worm Update. Earth Day 1990, Central Park. I gathered with thousands of other people for a huge festival, but the thing that I most remember about the event was coming down with the chicken pox the following day. (I can only imagine how many people I managed to infect.). The thing got me most excited was the booth about composing with worms. I had set up my own worm box. Last week I n...
