Mostly tutorials for Paint Shop Pro. Monday, 23 August 2010. I love colouring old photos to give that "hand coloured" look and I hope these tips are useful to you. The Photo I used, "Little Orphan Annie" by Elizabeth B Brownell Public Domain is available on Wikimedia Common. S - Image HERE. For the tutorial I have reduced the size of the image, but I encourage you to recolour at the original size of your photo or illustration. The tutorial was created using PSP 9 but later versions should be similar.

Mostly tutorials for Paint Shop Pro. Wednesday, 21 March 2012. Edge Darkening -A Paint Shop Pro Photo Enhancement Tutorial. I was reasonably happy with this image but wanted to give the 2 central characters more focus or emphasis. One way to do this is to darken the image edges to draw the eye to the focal point. This method of darkening the edges without "muddying" them worked for me and has the advantage that I could be as subtle or dramatic as I wished without actually affecting my original image :).
