Mapping the live status of Chicago bike stations. It’s taken some time for me to get to grips with Processing. But finally I am getting somewhere with it and even starting to enjoy it. Creating basic shapes and data animations is not a problem, but things get trickier once you introduce geographic context to it. I wanted to show the live status of the Chicago bike rental stations (how many bikes available etc.) on a map using the live JSON API from the bike rental site. Pretty messy, right?
