Common problems | PSYC 208 - Learning Environment

https://psyc208.wordpress.com/common-problems

PSYC 208 – Learning Environment. I think we've all felt like this before. Students often fail to plan accordingly because they don’t fully understand the task they are supposed to do. Eg Not reading a marking rubric. or “Well the professor said 5 pages, so I’ll just make my font bigger! One’s own characteristics (learning styles, preferred environments, etc.) are often not taken into account. Students often overestimate their own abilities when it comes to procrastination and distractions . I guess I won...

Learning Styles | PSYC 208 - Learning Environment

https://psyc208.wordpress.com/learning-styles

PSYC 208 – Learning Environment. Probably the most common misconception about learning styles is that people are divided into three types of learners: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. However, there’s no evidence of this being true. Many people claim to have a preference, but studies show that people learn most effectively using a variety of methods through. Which will lead to greater academic success. Incremental theory of self. Entity theory of self. Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com.

Environment | PSYC 208 - Learning Environment

https://psyc208.wordpress.com/environment

PSYC 208 – Learning Environment. Choosing a suitable environment for academic success is crucial in ones learning experience; however, that suitable environment is dependent on many factors. Probably the most important factor in creating a study space is the individual themselves. What kind of learner are they? Do they become distracted easily? Are they interactive or solitary? Chaos and Creation

Wednesday, March 9, 2011. A repeat bloomer, and a new acquisition. Here I have a Phalaenopsis Tzu Chiang Grace, which is Golden Peoker X lobbii. It is a small sized plant, with larger than expected flowers. Lastly, I purchased a Pabanisia (formerly known as Aganax) Eva's Blue Amazon. I LOVE the color of the flowers. This is my first orchid from the Zygo family, so I will have to wait and see if I can keep it happy and alive. Thursday, March 3, 2011. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Monday, February 21, 2011.
