In my oh-so-humble opinion...: July 2012
http://clarissachangingcourse.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
In my oh-so-humble opinion. Thursday, July 19, 2012. This Monday, I purchased a bicycle. I've been in need of/wanting one for a good 3 years, and I finally found one that fit me, worked, and could be afforded. Woohoo! I need more movement in my life, and I needed a better way to commute the one-and-a-half-ish miles to work than walking (takes way too long) or driving (costs too much/can't park anywhere close to my work buildings). A Subaru (or an SUV more generally). Skis or a snowboard. A ranch or farm.

In my oh-so-humble opinion...: May 2012

In my oh-so-humble opinion. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Weddings and First Fruits. I went back to Iowa to my sister's wedding last week. Um, it was hot and humid. It felt like August. I did not appreciate the stickiness, especially in MAY! Generally speaking, the pictures I took turned out terribly - and not just the strange expressions on my face; the ones here are some of the better ones, if you can believe it! I think it may be time for a new camera. Mr Wonderful was very. The Parents with K and V. This ...

In my oh-so-humble opinion...: July 2013
http://clarissachangingcourse.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
In my oh-so-humble opinion. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. I might be done. I have had no interest in blogging for close to a year. I didn't feel like writing. A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G. So I didn't. But tonight something really important happened that made me want to share again. And maybe not. Maybe tonight is an anomaly. But it feels more like a turning point. But I think I'm probably still done blogging. Maybe someday I'll have more adventures and will want to share. Mostly though, I just want to be done.

Shoes of Life: September 2013
http://shoesoflife.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
My thoughts as I attempt to figure out my own life journey in the midst of trying to follow the Creator of that life. Summer. Silence. Health. To be honest, I am in a season of silence. Deep silence. I want to finish up my 3 part response to tragedy series I was doing. And I will. Maybe I will get back to writing soon. Writing is a good creative outlet for me and one of my secret life wishes is to write a book. I'm not convinced that will ever actually happen, but writing is cathartic for me....Despite h...

Shoes of Life: Advent
http://shoesoflife.blogspot.com/2014/12/advent.html
My thoughts as I attempt to figure out my own life journey in the midst of trying to follow the Creator of that life. For those who lost a loved one due to unjust systemic racism. For those who have no food to eat, no place to lay their head, no safety net against cruelty. For all those who have been sold into slavery. For all the young girls and boys forced to commit unspeakable acts with adults twice their age in brothels around the world. For those with debilitating illness. Lord, have mercy.

My thoughts as I attempt to figure out my own life journey in the midst of trying to follow the Creator of that life. Nine Years. Or, We've Come a Long Way Baby. In this post I will be waxing poetic about my husband. If you would rather puke, come back another day. Consider yourself warned. :) Oh, and our anniversary is actually tomorrow May 22, but you know, I'm early.*. Well, we've come a long way baby. I think about us, standing on that stage in that church, and can I be honest? This ninth year of mar...

In my oh-so-humble opinion. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. I really enjoy visiting the National Archives in Denver. I also really enjoy the random, funny things I find while looking through very straightforward administrative National Park Service files. For your reading pleasure, a visitor suggestion for an enhanced experience at Zion National Park:. I read this and immediately laughed out loud in the midst of the quiet reading room full of researchers. Do you blame me? Also, "Rock of Ages"? Zion Canyon is ...

Shoes of Life: Food Links, For My Own Memory
http://shoesoflife.blogspot.com/2014/12/food-links-for-my-own-memory.html
My thoughts as I attempt to figure out my own life journey in the midst of trying to follow the Creator of that life. Food Links, For My Own Memory. A couple of things I recently found online that I want to remember. I recommend both of these articles highly. First, from Beauty that Moves, one of my fave blogs of all time:. It's my way of not playing the external blame game (the economy! And bringing the work of life, the actions I am actually in control of, back to myself. Second, from Ben Hewitt:.

My thoughts as I attempt to figure out my own life journey in the midst of trying to follow the Creator of that life. Next month, October (which is next Wednesday - how is that possible? Kennan and I are joining a group of people taking a challenge called October Unprocessed. I am sure there are hashtags and links I could add there, but really? Look it up on Google. Processed food isn't about that. Processed. Lunch meat? Worse than the cheetos processed. Meat? Still processed. Canned tomatoes? I don't li...
