Stuck in the Middle: 04.15.2010
http://stuckmiddle.blogspot.com/2010_04_15_archive.html
Stuck in the Middle. See what happens when you move two life-long coasters into the middle. We sat outside for a while in the shade Tuesday night. As you can see, Froglette had a great time. Our neighbor and his dog joined us for a while which gave Froglette plenty of things to look at. This girl likes being outside! I got this new wrap to wear her in while walking. It's a woven wrap so it has less stretch than the Moby (the orange one). Our next thing to try is to wear her on my back! Links to this post.

Stuck in the Middle. See what happens when you move two life-long coasters into the middle. Well, as is expected around these parts, life got in the way with potty learning. Plus, school was not super enthusiastic about the whole idea and that coupled with our own hectic few months led to us backing off. She still used the potty quite a bit and often wore big girl panties on the weekends, but we didn't keep pushing school to try it much during the day. Only one accident on Wednesday! We unfortunately hav...

THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY: August 2010
http://thedeadmusicsociety.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY. Sunday, August 8, 2010. My blogging mentor from Garden Grass and Crap. Introduced me to the website 8tracks.com. Where you can create and post an eight song mix of songs either from your own computer of from their collection of songs uploaded from other users. My first mix includes some Townes, Nina Simone, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Lee Dorsey and the Grateful Dead. Check it out here: http:/ 8tracks.com/deadmusicsociety/deadmusicsociety-s-august-2010-mix. Sunday, August 08, 2010.

THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY: Beck does INXS (and others)
http://thedeadmusicsociety.blogspot.com/2010/07/beck-does-inxs-and-others.html
THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Beck does INXS (and others). In my opinion Beck.com. After spending my 'lunch break' binging on a bunch of these videos - I was surprised to discover that my favorite might just be their cover of INXS' album 'Kick'. I don't remember much about INXS but I know their lead singer died (in a pretty sketchy and sad way).the good news is that this means that it is fair game for me to post the following kickass video:. Record Club: INXS "Need You Tonight".

THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY: April 2010
http://thedeadmusicsociety.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY. Saturday, April 24, 2010. To continue with my theme (that would be the "Waaaah I'm missing JazzFest" theme) here. Is the great 1972 self-titled record by the late Bobby Charles. Bobby was a singer and songwriter born and raised in rural Cajun country in Louisiana (making him less of a New Orleans guy than our last couple subjects) - Bobby had 'bayou water running through his veins.'. Bobby Charles died at home in Louisiana earlier this year. Saturday, April 24, 2010.

THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY: Clifton Chenier: Louisiana Blues & Zydeco
http://thedeadmusicsociety.blogspot.com/2011/01/clifton-chenier-louisiana-blues-zydeco.html
THE DEAD MUSIC SOCIETY. Monday, January 24, 2011. Clifton Chenier: Louisiana Blues and Zydeco. I bet you thought this blog was as dead as the musicians we cover (I'm talking to BOTH of you readers out there now). Well, don't believe the hype. As advertised Clifton and his band not only kill it on the Zydeco tunes but the Blues numbers are what really blew me away. I highly recommend this one as a good change of pace, assuming you don't listen to all that much accordion music. Here's the DL link.
