Mad about pony books: Linda Craig
http://ponybooks.blogspot.com/2008/03/linda-craig.html
Mad about pony books. Saturday, 15 March 2008. I have just been reading the Linda Craig (original) series and cannot believe how much I enjoyed them! I vaguely remember having a few of these books when I was younger but cannot really remember ever reading them.I would imagine maybe the mystery element put me off as I liked 'pure' pony books by far the most. However having acquired one in a lot with some other books I decided to give them a go and was thoroughly hooked! Unfortunately in the US, many horse...

The Pony Book Chronicles
http://ponybookchronicles.blogspot.com/2009/01/billy-and-blaze-c.html
The Pony Book Chronicles. Reviews of horsey books for kids. Mostly. Some nonfiction, some adult fiction, all horse-related. Mostly American. Saturday, January 24, 2009. 1936, Macmillan Publishing Co. Billy loves horses, and is lucky enough to get a pony for his birthday. Together, boy and pony explore the woods, find a faithful dog and win a jumping class for Best Pony at a horse show. CW Anderson's art is a favorite of most horse-crazy kids. What sums up the appeal, to me, is how soft it is. Blaze Shows...

The Beautiful Room: Book promotion: is it working for you?
http://janeayres.blogspot.com/2014/08/book-promotion-is-it-working-for-you.html
Musings from writer Jane Ayres: "If I'm not learning, I'm not living.". Wednesday, 13 August 2014. Book promotion: is it working for you? So how was it for you? Promoting your last book? What works and what doesn't? Let's look at social media first. Namely, Facebook. Likes and shares do not equal sales! Social Media is often hailed as a book selling tool, but it has its limitations. One of my charity e-books, Coming Home. Based on this example, there is roughly one sale per 6 shares, and around 2 sales p...

Ponymad Booklovers Blog: April 2013
http://ponymadbooklovers.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 17 April 2013. Book Review - If I Won a Pony by Eve Paege. Leo is amazed when she wins first prize in a pony magazine competition – a real life pony! However, I am glad to say in the last couple of years, traditional pony stories seem to be making a come back. (Why this is so is a matter for separate discussion, but it does gladden the heart of a reader brought up on them). I would have perhaps liked a little more character depth and development, but I realize this is personal taste, as I am a...

Ponymad Booklovers Blog: June 2013
http://ponymadbooklovers.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 10 June 2013. Review - Joe and the Hidden Horseshoe by Victoria Eveleigh. This is the first book in a new trilogy about pony-loving boy Joe. It is aimed at the pre-teen to younger teen readership. The other books in the series include Joe and the Lightning Pony and Joe and the Race to the Rescue (not yet published). This is a well written and very readable traditional story. There is a lot to like here and quite a few elements which set the book apart from the run of the mill modern pony story.

Ponymad Booklovers Blog: Review - Angels of Clover Farm by Virginia Shirt
http://ponymadbooklovers.blogspot.com/2013/10/review-angels-of-clover-farm-by.html
Saturday, 12 October 2013. Review - Angels of Clover Farm by Virginia Shirt. Who is the mysterious stranger lurking around the farm? And will solving these mysteries be enough to save the farm from financial ruin? I would rate this book as 3 horseshoes (GOOD). Read more and vote for the book on the ponymadbooklovers chat forum review section. I agree with all the comments. Simple read but enjoyable and I love it, being the author helps. Thanks very much for the three horseshoes. 25 October 2013 at 22:26.
