Not content with the offshore racing we have decided to try what is really a young mans sport and have a go in these small crazy lunatic boats. Sunday, November 8, 2009. Team Pulsar will enter 2 boats in next years Round Ireland Offshore Powerboat Race. Derek Stanley and I will skipper the boats and we will be looking to add 2 new crew members for 2010. The process for interviews is currently being discussed and will no doubt be an arduous and lengthy one. We have partnered with Suzuki again and will be changing from a single DF. 300 to twin DF. So I ask my network of clients and associates for suggestions for a local charity to support as I have entered this mad boat race thingy with a crazy bunch collectively know as the Wolfgang. A relatively new client of mine, (whose name is Adam), suggests that I speak with his wife, (her name is Helen, not Eve). Well how could I say no, they are now my nominated charity. Monday, November 10, 2008. There are negatives and positives in everything in life. For instance we hope to have a go at the record for circumnavigating Ireland in 2009. Thats about 670 nautical miles or nearly 800 statute miles. Either way, it's a long run in one go and with Stan navigating will probably take longer.
