China Bayles’ Book of Days by Susan Wittig Albert. I was reading through my book “China Bayles’ Book of Days” by Susan Wittig Albert and came on an interesting recipe (see the books page for a link). China Bayles is a herbalist who solves murder mysteries which have a connection with herbs. June 18th had a recipe for Lemon Butter for which I seemed to have grown most of the ingredients. Lemon with lemon thyme, lemon balm, lemongrass and lemon verbena. 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened.
