Saturday, October 13, 2012. My mother has all these amazing little tricks in the kitchen. She used to make these when I was younger and re-introduced them to Brent and I just after Philip was born. I found them once again while cruising thru Pinterest. They are super simple and will be sure to please everyone young and old. 2 Granny Smith Apples (cored and quartered). 1 Can Mountain Dew. From My Kitchen to Yours: Chicken & Rice Soup
http://poffskitchen.blogspot.com/2015/01/chicken-rice-soup.html
Thursday, January 8, 2015. Chicken and Rice Soup. On a cold day or when everyone is sick with the flu this is a fantastic soup to whip up. It makes a lot, so you can share or have friends over. I took 3 different recipes and made something my family will enjoy. The measurements aren't exact, like any good soup recipe. Add more or take away as you like. (Rough measurements for my largest pot). Oilve oil (good drizzle). Onions- chopped (2-3 large). Carrots- diced (I cheat- a bag of carrot sticks cut up).

In the Kitchen With Baby Cakes: February 2011
http://cookingwithbabycakes.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. I needed to bring a salty snack to Anna-Kate's Valentine's party at school. I tried so hard to think of something fun and new to make that was salty. that a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds would eat. I was stumped but a couple of friends suggested popcorn balls. I know these weren't salty really, but I thought it would be fun to try! I found Paula Deen's recipe. And decided to go with hers! Here's what you need:. 1 1/3 cups water. 1/2 cup corn light syrup. 1 teaspoon white vinegar.

In the Kitchen With Baby Cakes: Hey Good Lookin'...
http://cookingwithbabycakes.blogspot.com/2011/02/hey-good-lookin.html
Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Sorry, I was trying to think of something catchy to open with! I am so excited that I am going to be starting my very own food blog! I wanted a place that I could share my weekly menus and some of the recipes I use. I don't believe that I'm the best at coming up with my own recipes but I usually try and tweak something that I've found. Plus I love to eat and try new recipes so I thought this would be a great place for me to post recipes I love (or don't love) too.

In the Kitchen With Baby Cakes: Spinchetti
http://cookingwithbabycakes.blogspot.com/2011/03/spinchetti.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. So a few days ago I saw a recipe on Pioneer Woman's blog for creamy chicken spaghetti. This is Pioneer Woman's version. As I was looking at it I decided to omit the black olives and to try some spinach in it! It is probably one of my most favorite meals now! Here's what you need:. 1 whole cut up fryer chicken (I just used chicken breast chunks until it looked meaty). 1 stick plus 1/4 cup of butter. 16 ounces white mushrooms, sliced. 1/4 cup dry white wine. Kosher salt and pepper.

In the Kitchen With Baby Cakes: Easiest Snow Cream Recipe!
http://cookingwithbabycakes.blogspot.com/2011/02/easiest-snow-cream-recipe.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. Easiest Snow Cream Recipe! We had a snow day today, which means it's the perfect time to enjoy some snow cream! That's absolutely my favorite thing. Yummy! I'm kind of on a sweetened condensed milk kick lately (it's so good) so I decided to try that in my snow cream. Here's the complex list of ingredients:. 1 can of sweetened condensed milk. 1 can of water. First, I poured the milk into my bowl then I filled that same can up with water and added that to the milk.
