The Beaver & The Chickpea: December 2012
http://amazonianbeaver.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 10, 2012. Because I refuse to pay for anything I don't absolutely have to, I am continuing this blather on a new site. Is where you'll find amazingly little content and obnoxiously large numbers of photos from here on out. I'm not planning on taking this site down, but I don't plan on adding anything new to it, either. I feel like I should have some definitive sign off here, like Ciao, On on, Peace, Over and out, Cheers, DELETED. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Rhythm of the Home.

Tillie Visits Pumpkin Ridge Farm. James, Polly and Juvencio with Tillie. They have been practicing organic growing since 1987 and have been running a year-round subscription (CSA) style farm since 1990. From 1990 to 2002 they were certified organic through the state. When certification requirements changed to 3rd party, they elected not to participate in order to keep from having to pass those costs along to their customers. They sum that decision up with this quote:. Want to Dig Deeper? The Tillie has b...

Cooking, food, and travel. August 10, 2014. Bordeaux, Week 8: Be the Wine. Posted by Shadowcook under Bordeaux, France. That’s all heart and dedication to wine. I hope they get more business, because they’re a wonderful part of the neighborhood. Very convenient for the Marché des Capucins, too. Not sure I want to “be the wine” I want to see in the world, in the Gandhian sense, but I’m willing to drink it. Apparently, they have only a Facebook page here. Bordeaux, of course. The Beaver & The Chickpea: June 2012
http://amazonianbeaver.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Hazard rode his balance bike all the way to preschool last week! The week started off normally. Afterwards, we went strawberry picking on Sauvie Island. But then my birthday came. We spent the better part of Friday in the emergency room. Here's Hazard playing with stickers at the hospital:. Geo likes to chew on things:. Even while strawberry picking: (I know these pictures are out of order). At the hospital waiting while Jeffrey got his x-rays:. A common scene: Geo among markers:.

Evidence of idle hands…. The Iliad by Homer. The Odyssey by Homer. Newer posts →. Evolution of my colored pencil swatches. My early attempts at color matching were done by holding pencils up to the flower or plant that I was drawing, leaning in close and then closing one eye to get the most accurate read possible. What I thought was color matching was really just guessing… So I read about using color swatches – I know! Pencil swatch the 'old' way. An artist friend of mine. Yesterday I did all of my shopp...

The Beaver & The Chickpea: Carr Smiles and Chalkboard Art
http://amazonianbeaver.blogspot.com/2011/12/carr-smiles-and-chalkboard-art.html
Thursday, December 1, 2011. Carr Smiles and Chalkboard Art. Just wanted to post some quick Carr smiles:. He's 2 months old now! And this green shirt that he's wearing is sized 3-6 months. He can still fit into some newborn clothes, but they are pretty tight. I don't think there's any way he'll fit in this until 6 months. I'm guessing he won't be wearing the same clothes from the ages of 8 months to 2 years like Hazard did. And here is some impressive new art from Hazard - people! Rhythm of the Home.
