Nick's Blog: The man who planted trees
http://nickjohns.blogspot.com/2009/09/man-who-planted-trees.html
Web Developer, Gamer, Generally chilled out bloke. The man who planted trees. For Cat's 30th I got tickets for a few plays from York theatre royal's Takeover 09. On Tuesday we saw the first of the plays, The Man Who Planted Trees. At first I was a little apprehensive, I knew this was a family play (hell it involved puppets), but the crowd was decidedly. young. I shouldn't have been worried! Young or old, I definately think you should go see this, especially if you can take some young kids with you. :D.

I am lucky to work sometimes as a poet in schools and other times with Puppet State Theatre Company. So I was delighted to be invited to work on a project that combines my love of poetry with one of the most fabulous puppetry productions EVER, War Horse. So how do poetry and Play-Doh come together? War Horse came to Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre. Movement ( Skye Reynolds. I encouraged...

Poetic Accountability | ElspethMurray's Blog
https://elspethmurray.wordpress.com/2009/06/30/poetic-accountability
June 30, 2009 · 3:45 pm. Two weeks ago, on 16th June 2009, I was speaking to a roomful of teachers at the Scottish Book Trust. I told them that I had recently been inspired in my poetry ‘teaching artist’ life in many ways – including by seeing the blog of my Chicago teaching artist exchange partner, Amanda Leigh Lichtenstein. 8211; who was also speaking at that event. Off the cuff, off the top of my head, just like that, I committed to setting up my own blog. Links to good resources. Remind me of your pr...
