I come from a Chinese family, and obvoiusly my religious background is a mixture of folk belief, Buddhism, and Taoism, which can be likened to "Rojak"(a famous delicacy in M'sia and S'pore). A few years back, I got to know about the true essence of Buddhism, that was when I really studied and put Buddhism into practice. I hope everyone of you are willing to pin-point my mistakes!
