The Allen Family: February 2009
http://theallenfamilybrood.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. Happy Birthday Batcher (Thatcher)! Yesterday we went to celebrate Thatcher's birthday at McDonald's. Brant and Thatcher are just under a year apart in age and spend some time together since his mom (Angela) teaches next door to me. Brant and Daddy practiced singing the birthday song on the way and Brant had his own version he refused to give up singing consisting of singing "Happy Birthday to Batcher" over and over again. It was really cute. Posted by The Allens.

The Allen Family: May 2009

Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Posted by The Allens. Thursday, May 21, 2009. Brant has been singing the Five Little Speckled frog a lot this week in the car. I tried to get video of him on my phone singing it, but it is a little shaky because we were sitting at a light and occasionally I had to move up while he was still singing. Here he is (by the way he has no shirt on because we are on our way to the pool to go swimming). Posted by The Allens. Sunday, May 17, 2009. Posted by The Allens. Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

Interview with Dylan – Age 4. So, Dylan turned 4 in December of LAST YEAR, and I am posting this on August 15th. Yeah, I have certainly been slacking when it comes to updating our page. Dylan decided he wanted to read to me tonight instead of me reading to him. Here he is “reading” one of his Christmas stories to me. We have only read the story a few times, so I think he did a pretty good job remembering he main points. And, on a side note, Dylan turns THREE on Thursday. THREE! I lost my daddy yesterday, and it just doesn’t seem real or possible to be living in a world without him. They took us to see my dad and we held his hands and talked to him for a bit. He was being kept alive by machines and medications, and I know he probably did not hear what we said, but I hope he did. I want the last words he heard to be how much he was loved. I don’t remember a lot of specific memories from when I was a little girl. I have a few snapshots in my head camping in Arkansas, riding on...
