If you are researching the Purkiss family name we are originally from Portsmouth (Portsea) and most probably from Cadnam in the New Forrest in the 1800's and therefore speculatively like most of the Purkiss's from Hampshire related to the 'Purkis' mentioned on the Rufus Stone.

Our house should as I said on the main page have been by now a nice big house with similarly sized garden. There is still a glimmer of hope watch this space for more news and information in the coming weeks. If we do move it will be most probably to the house in these pictures. We then have plans to replace the garage and side extension to the rear of the garage with a two-storey extension.

This page, as the name suggests is all about our garden. As with 'Our House' we should have had a very nice garden now and I'm sure we will one day. We have plans for raised vegetable beds, a children s play area and much much more. Here are some pictures of our conservatory being built about 2 years ago. We chose the biggest conservatory that we could reasonably fit into our garden as a result we have a small garden now.
