http://sphandmadesoap.blogspot.com/2014/02/embed-soap-challenge.html
Celebrate the Simple Pleasures of life with a bar of Handmade Soap. Monday, February 17, 2014. This month's challenge issued by Amy through her Great Cakes Soapworks. Challenge Club is to make a soap using cold process embeds. This is not a new technique for me, however I've shied away from embeds lately because of some frustrations I've had with them, so I thought this was a perfect opportunity to work through those issues. http://sphandmadesoap.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Celebrate the Simple Pleasures of life with a bar of Handmade Soap. Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Not having a slab mold I really didn't know how well this month's Soap Challenge Club project would go. The Helix/DNA swirl is a surface swirl that's best showcased in a slab mold. Helix Swirl in the mold. Out of the mold - I really. No ash yet - here's hoping it will stay away! Scented with orange, lemon and litsea cubeba essential oils. This soap makes me happy! Another great challenge - thanks Amy!

Luxury artisan soaps with signature fragrance blends. Handmade in Sydney, Australia. Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Soap Techniques: Swirling for Beginners. There are lots of different methods around for swirling soap, but one of my favourite, and I think easiest, ways to do this is an In The Pot (ITP) Swirl. Tips for a great ITP Swirl:. 1) After you have mixed the oils and lye water, bring your raw soap to a *light* trace. Every batch will be different, but for me this is about 3-4 quick bursts using the ...

Luxury artisan soaps with signature fragrance blends. Handmade in Sydney, Australia. Friday, July 9, 2010. Write it down on a piece of paper for later. 2) Line your mould and prepare your oils, lye and water as per normal. 8) Repeat st...

Luxury artisan soaps with signature fragrance blends. Handmade in Sydney, Australia. Friday, October 25, 2013. My Favourite Scents in Soap: Part 1, Essential Oils. All essential oils are amazing, however when it comes to cold process soap, some perform better than others. My criteria for EOs in soap is that they hold their scent well, don't accelerate trace, and are reasonably inexpensive to buy. These are my "must have" essential oils for a soapmaker's arsenal! These are some of my favourite blends:.
