A woman with an accordian and a dancing goat counts as trad folk, right? Random image place I found this. Other images on site may be NSFW, sexist, racist etc as with all random image sites of the internets. The sooner this essay is finished the better I say, then the brain will be right again! Sidmouth camping and parking: trad_folk
http://trad-folk.livejournal.com/38789.html
The Purple Peril (. Sidmouth camping and parking. I can't find anything about this on the Sidmouth website so I'm hoping you guys can help. Some friends are pushing me to go to Sidmouth this year. I can't go for the whole thing as I am busy both weekends, but I thought I might pop down for 2 or 3 days during the week and just pay on the door for anything I want to see. If I do this, is it possible for me to use the campsite? Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

Reeled Silk Tablet Weaving!: tablet_weaving
http://tablet-weaving.livejournal.com/7332.html
Reeled Silk Tablet Weaving! I'm working on a ribbon made entirely from silk that I have reeled by hand. These are bobbins of tram; they are the untwisted silk that I'm using for the brocade. Tram is best for applications where its shine will be appreciated, but it won't be abraded or under tension. The golden bobbin is organzine. This oak leaf is brocaded in; it really doesn't want its picture taken! The light keeps catching in the thread, and making it hard to see. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Brocade help: tablet_weaving
http://tablet-weaving.livejournal.com/7583.html
The Purple Peril (. Anyone done any brocaded tablet weaving? I'm doing my first piece and it's working out fine except that I can't get the brocade threads to lie next to each other, so that instead of forming nice blocks of colour they are forming a striped effect. Is my tension too tight? Or will you always get this effect if the brocade yarn is roughly the same thickness as the weft? The background weave is a plain S-Z if that has any bearing. Care to chime in?: tablet_weaving
http://tablet-weaving.livejournal.com/7702.html
Care to chime in? Someone posted a 9th century tablet woven ribbon. That appears to be brocaded over in. If anyone cares to chime in on the construction, etc., the post is here. The base looks to be double-turn, double-face with the blue and the darker gold as the warp threads, but without seeing the back of the band, that'd be hard to confirm. If the blue is brocade, though, it's likely just a plain gold background, yes? Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

Tricky fingering - Recorders!

Tricky fingering - Recorders! Jan 21st, 2008 04:03 pm. Is it just me, or is the "cover up to the 7th hole but uncover the 5th hole with your middle finger" fingering to play F on tenor recorder really unergonomic? 2008-01-21 09:34 pm (UTC). Yeah, I think it's the sheer length of the instrument that I find unergonomic. 2008-01-21 10:56 pm (UTC).
