Had to call for extra hands to manhandle it into the shedio! Since then I've been busy slumping bottles and making fused coasters, trinket dishes, and bowls. Here are just a few. I've had a successful December with plenty of Christmas sales, leading to a £200 donation to Viva, and £300 donation to Dr Hadwens Trust! Thank you to everyone who has supported me. Thursday, 5 February 2015. The end of Tax return season! Well, I celebrated the end of tax return season with 3 days at my torch! What better way to relax! I also got chance to play with the tumbler I got for Christmas. I love the finish it gives my beads. They are like etched beads, but with no nasty chemicals to work with. Sunday, 16 February 2014. A few more badgers, and some jewellery! The badger lineup continues to grow. Note the cheeky fox who snuck in! One woman's adventures in the land of hand made jewellery. Monday, 29 October 2012. Earlier this year I made a bracelet from buttons. And started experimenting. First I cut two 1 metre long lengths of thread and tied them together with an overhand knot, for extra security I threaded on a crimp, squeezing it tight directly below the knot. A clamshell threaded on after this was used to cover both the knot and the crimp and would provide somewhere to attach one half of the fastening. Art Bead Scene Blog.

You'll need a length of memory wire to fit round your wrist with 4 or 5 cm overlap, I used about one and a third loops of smaller diameter wire (31-32cm). The key to this design is that the buttons overlap whilst the wire remains hidden behind them. Cream Shanked Buttons, Blue Flat Buttons and Memory Wire. Bend the final end back and tuck in.
