MonasticJournal: Jerry Chicken
http://monasticjournal.blogspot.com/2008/06/jerry-chicken.html
A chronicle of the Monk Family, especially the kids, since we know that's all you're really interested in anyway. Saturday, June 21, 2008. Look on Sammy's shoulder - it's Jerry Chicken, his birthday present and new pet. Jerry is a Leopard Gecko lizard. We don't actually know if Jerry is a boy or girl yet, but we figured that Jerry can go either way. Chicken is all Sammy - I think it's from some silly cartoon he watches, but I'm not really sure. Sammy is just the cutest! June 23, 2008 1:12 PM.

A chronicle of the Monk Family, especially the kids, since we know that's all you're really interested in anyway. Monday, September 06, 2010. OK - after a long break, I'm going to revive my blog. Facebook is fun, but it doesn't really keep a family journal the way this did. To start off, here a some photos from a recent visit we made to the San Jacinto Monument. After arriving at camp, the kids set up their beds and immediately go for swim test, while the parents make the trek home to a week of peace. Here's Ben with some of his friends right before the test. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. What's Up With Us.

A chronicle of the Monk Family, especially the kids, since we know that's all you're really interested in anyway. Tuesday, September 07, 2010. I have to give a shout out to Maddie here. Since late middle school she's been very self sufficient with school and grades. Last year she finished the semester with all As, and got a letter from the principal congratulating her for this. She sets a great example for her siblings, and I hope they are able to follow her. Monday, September 06, 2010. What's Up With Us.

If I'd known how much fun a boat would be, I would have given in sooner. Here are Ellie, Ben and Sam as we zip through the lake:. Here's the boat - it's a Four Winns Fish and Ski, it seats 8 people:. There are a bunch more pictures of our two recent trips here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

MonasticJournal: Ground Zero
http://monasticjournal.blogspot.com/2008/05/ground-zero.html
A chronicle of the Monk Family, especially the kids, since we know that's all you're really interested in anyway. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. I took another trip to New York for a business conference. On the second day, my friend Laura and I braved the subway to visit the memorial at Ground Zero. It was very sobering, and interesting to see all the construction and rebuilding that's being done there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
