Custom Machined Parts and Finish Build. What Can Go Wrong Did Go Wrong. My Husband's Mad Max Interceptor Project. My husband took my car to a chassis dyno to see what he accomplished with the engine. It was built for street torque and he said he is pretty happy with the way it turned out. The accelerator pump on the carb needs to be adjusted to give a little more gas when it's punched, and the secondary jets are going to be replaced with 2 sizes smaller to get the mixture at WOT a little better.

My husband is in the process of doing a Granada disc brake swap and also installing a power brake booster and dual master cylinder, as well as rebuilding the front suspension! Now I will be able to put him through the windshield with a panic stop, LOL. Here's how it looks at the moment. They do look nice though, don't they?

In meeting and speaking with the owner of the car we learned the history he had with it. He bought it from an owner in Oregon and he even had pictures to show of the car as it was then and through the process of everything that he did with the car once he got it home. I cannot imagine buying a car in this condition! He was certainly more ambitious than I ever would be.
