Psalm 146:8 ".He lifts up the fallen.". I am where I am today by the grace of God. Several years ago. He placed a calling on my life to serve Him. I lived a comfortable life and ignored the call because it would have required me to step outside of my box. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I should be doing more for His kingdom, and I tried to fill that space with church attendance, Bible studies and personal devotion time. Last year He plucked me out of my comfortable life and removed the obstacles.

Psalm 146:8 ".He lifts up the fallen.". I am a beloved daughter of God. This is something that still takes my breath away…. I am also a Mom to a beautiful 2-year-old girl, Mia. Besides my salvation, she is the greatest gift I have ever received. In her two and a half years here, she has taught me more about myself than any other person ever has. Becoming a Mom, and being a parent has given me insight to what my relationship with God should naturally be. Professionally, I teach for a few different colleges.

I am about to finish Ms. Understood. By Jen Hatmaker. If you want a book that will make you laugh and yet teach you about who God says you are to Him, this is it. At the beginning of 2011 I thought that the word was meant to get me to read the Bible more and be more diligent in my prayer life. Little did I know that what God truly had in store for me with the word listen was that He would whisper promises of love and provision through the hardest months of my life. Coming into 2012, I wanted to keep my word. Some of my dear friends got to keep their word.
