Introducing...Push Through Training ~ Surviving the Philly Marathon and Beyond
http://www.pushthroughphilly.com/2014/01/introducingpush-through-training.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. Introducing.Push Through Training. Why "Push Through" Training? Everyone has their issues. Lack of self confidence, never taking a rest day, not pushing yourself hard enough in a workout, or maybe you're new to running and you're not quite sure what to do. Each of these are a barrier that you need to "push through" in order to achieve your goals. (It goes with the theme of my blog too! Don't live in NYC? What are your training sessions like? Ready to get started? I needed advice...

http://www.pushthroughphilly.com/2014/01/happy-new-year-right.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. Happy New Year (right? It's only January 13th, so I think it's still appropriate to say Happy New Year.especially when I haven't blogged since.yeah. There's lots of stuff coming up for me running wise this year, and I'm really excited to share it with you. Though, most of you know already, I got into the 2014 NYC Half Marathon! There's also some new stuff coming to the blog in the next few days. Hint.it has to do with the fact I changed the header of the website! My Mission: My ...
Surprise! I ran a marathon this weekend ~ Surviving the Philly Marathon and Beyond
http://www.pushthroughphilly.com/2013/10/surprise-i-ran-marathon-this-weekend.html
Monday, October 21, 2013. I ran a marathon this weekend. I see I've neglected to post in my blog since the end of August.so what better way to come back than with a surprise marathon? It all started early last week when I was trying to find a half marathon to run as part of my long run. Every race I came across was up in Syracuse, Albany, or somewhere that was at least a 5 hour drive. No thanks. Do elevation charts mean anything to you? Because apparently they don't to me! The drive up to Goshen was quie...
Priced Out ~ Surviving the Philly Marathon and Beyond

Monday, October 28, 2013. My mind has been on the Spring lately. I'm already thinking about a spring marathon or a spring half. Immediately, when I thought of a great early spring race, I thought of the Atlantic City April Fools race that I did back 2012 with my friend Vee. It was close to home, flat, and I'd get to do a little shopping too! I went to the website to look at registration, and I was floored. The fee was already up to $80! Winter ~ Surviving the Philly Marathon and Beyond
http://www.pushthroughphilly.com/2014/02/winter.html
Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Is there really much more to say? I was tallying up my miles for January, and I realized more than 50% of those miles were done on a treadmill. A necessary evil. Training is going well, but I hope that in the next few weeks the weather calms down a little bit. At least for March 16th. How are you all dealing with this weather? June 18, 2015 at 4:58 PM. 52 Weeks to a Better Me...: Grieving in Private
http://52weekmarathon.blogspot.com/2012/11/grieving-in-private.html
52 Weeks to a Better Me. Getting better all the time. Monday, November 19, 2012. Grieving in Private: No More. I’d always been pretty ambivalent about becoming a mother. It sounded like a nice idea and all, but I just wasn’t sure it was something I wanted to do. Changing my whole life around for some other person? Eh I wasn’t convinced. That is, until the day I peed on the stick and saw the plus sign. “I’m pregnant! I ran out to our local drug store and bought a gift box. When Jeremy got home that ev...
Run Ansky Run: November 2011

Balancing Running with Family, Work, Faith, and Anything Else That Comes My Way. Monday, November 28, 2011. Lil Ansky's First 5k. A few weeks ago I was deciding between 2 Turkey Trots, the Dick Meighan Memorial 5k. In Upper Saddle River, NJ or the Rockland Road Runners 5 mile Turkey Trot. In Congers, NY. I ran Dick Meighan in 2008 and 2009. And enjoyed the race both years. I ran in Congers last year. Primarily because it was my friend's first 5 mile road race and I wanted to be there to support him.

Go, Tracy, Go! MY QUEST TO QUALIFY NOT JUST FOR THE OLYMPIC TRIALS BUT FOR THE 2016 OLYMPICS IN THE MARATHON (to do this I will need to halve my marathon time). Alan Sillitoe, "Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner". Thursday, March 28, 2013. Chicago Marathon Registration Part Two: this time it's MCM. Tell me I can't have something, and it will only make me want it more. So, yeah. After 75 minutes of sitting at my computer, desperately hitting refresh while texting one friend. Why on earth does anyone.
Muy Majo: November 2011
http://majotinoco.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 20, 2011. The inaugural Brooklyn Marathon was this morning. It was a lovely event with the feel of a local 5k. It was so good that I found myself wishing I'd run it. Since my duties as a marshal did not keep me 100% occupied, I decided to multitask by trying to capture pictures of the amazingly badass Samantha as she ran the marathon. Samantha. Had run the Staten Island Half. With me and managing to get the PR that eluded me. Then she ran the New York City Marathon on Nov 6th. There were...

Mom to Marathon: Common Ground

A Mom, a Runner, a Coach. This blog talks about everything that comes with balancing fitness and motherhood. Thursday, August 2, 2012. My running friends from my old neighborhood. Running is a nearly universal language. It breaks the ice and brings people together. If two strangers are runners, they can usually find something to talk about. Being a running mother gives us even more in common. This past weekend I found this to be true. Twice. This is what I want! August 2, 2012 at 9:51 AM. Everyone else t...

A Mom, a Runner, a Coach. This blog talks about everything that comes with balancing fitness and motherhood. Monday, February 20, 2012. A Bad Blogger…. I really should think of this blog as a job. But I don’t. It has opened up a world for me –the world of running and the wonderful online running community. But yet, it sits here…lonely…without an update for weeks. I receive fantastic opportunities from this blog (i.e. Fitfluential. How do I get things back on track? Although recently I have been pretty c...

52 Weeks to a Better Me. Getting better all the time. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. The One That Got Away. When I started this journey towards running my first marathon, qualifying for Boston seemed like an utter impossibility. But last weekend, as I stood at the starting line for the New Jersey Marathon, just six months after running my first marathon, I thought that that was the day. I was going to qualify for Boston. 8221; “You too! 8221; I smiled back as we both took off. 8221; The good news is, I wasn̵...

pushthroughthedarkness | my experience with depression and anxiety
My experience with depression and anxiety. December 19, 2015. August 28, 2015. It’s been more than two years since my last post. Things got better – Pulling myself out of that black hole of depression was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life…but over the last few weeks I’ve fallen back into it. I hate myself for it! I don’t know if I can do it all again – I know I want to but the determination is somewhere buried under all the anxiety, shame and self hate. I just wish I had somebody that I could talk to.
