http://dbstaffordfam.blogspot.com/2010/06/moments-that-make-mom-proud.html
David and Bonnie Staffords Eternal Family. Established August 23, 1996. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Moments that Make a Mom Proud. I have been thinking lately about how my children do things that I love. Little things that make me realize why children are considered a gift and a reward from our loving God. Here are some I have enjoyed with Richelle. I am sure I have missed many in this short list). Of course) She is our oldest and I will never forget the day we became parents. Her first Sacrament presentation.

Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11): CLOTHING to bring
http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2008/12/clothing-to-bring.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Friday, December 19, 2008. As I have yet to finish a full year in Japan, I have not been here in the January and February months. They are some of the dryer months, I'm told, and very cold. It's the wind chill-factor that gets you. On my list would be a warm winter coat. One that sheds water. When it rains here, it pours. The systems tend to blow in and out, but they usually are drenchers. Confused why they put slippers in the bathrooms? Your place (or r...

http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2009/02/second-hand-rose.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Sunday, February 22, 2009. Second Hand Rose is a re-sale shop. It is being re-located to B39B, which is behind the Chief's Club. It's in the center of this photograph. Here it is again, from the side by the SRF parking lot. It's open Tuesday and Thursdays, 9-2. Hey, don't say the name of that van wrong! The entrance you go into. But, one of my sayings is, "Some people's crap is other people's treasure.". A larger one at More's City (8th floor? Beware of ...

David & Bonnie Stafford's Eternal Family: Unicycling in the Parade
http://dbstaffordfam.blogspot.com/2009/07/unicycling-in-parade.html
David and Bonnie Staffords Eternal Family. Established August 23, 1996. Monday, July 27, 2009. Unicycling in the Parade. Dallin and Richelle were in the Whaling Days Parade on Saturday. They rode their unicycles. It was hot hot hot on the black top. Dallin's trick is the stomach ride and Richelle can do the rocker where she just rocks back and forth on the unicycle. Posted by David and Bonnie - Best Friends for years! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chell and her friends! Parking at the Stevens.

Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11): EATING
http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2008/10/eating.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Most restaurants or stores have a window with pictures of the food they serve. I have had to take the waiter out and point at the food. But, you get what you see. My husband won't let me forget when I bought yakitori. The chicken on a stick looked so good, I ordered the beef kabobs beside it! It is a chicken stand! Those turned out to be chicken livers! You will eat, there are many fun places. Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11): YES SMOKING
http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2008/10/yes-smoking.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Japan has very few non-smoking restaurants. They've recently made some streets off-limits for smokers. It is a start. Being a mother, I was astounded at how much smoke there is in the restaurants, even if you request a non-smoking area. You come home smelling like ashtray. If you've been missing those smoky bars back home, you'll love Japan! On base, the restaurants are non smoking, and you'll find designated smoking areas.

Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11): CHILD CARE
http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2008/12/child-care.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Thursday, December 18, 2008. The Main CDC is a wait-list situation, where single parent military come first, then military, then DoD PCS folk, and other civilian contractors. or something like that. Home Care is regulated, and as part of housing contracts, people on base providing more than 10 hours of child care to anyone, HAVE to go through training and become registered. They can lose their on-base house/apartment if they don't follow this rule. Japan...

Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11): SAKURA RESIDENCE
http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2009/03/sakura-residence.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Tuesday, March 24, 2009. There are some places closer to train stations than this place, which is great for those of you who like to hit the rails and explore. Spaciousness and a bus onto base is one of the perks to living on a hill. Double click on the maps to see how far it is to a train station. It is close to a store. These are refrigerators. Small, but you get 2 of them. One of the pull-outs is a freezer, the other a vegetable bin. Beware of Sea Haw...

Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11): Bikes on Base
http://yokosukatdy.blogspot.com/2009/03/bikes-on-base.html
Info on Yokosuka, Japan (support terminated 1/11). Tuesday, March 10, 2009. This sign means it is okay for this road to be used for walking and biking. Bikes must give way to pedestrians. No bikes or mopeds. This is a path I see folks on bikes all the time, and delivery personnel on mopeds. So what would you do? Biking is an excellent way to get around the Yokosuka area, as it is relatively flat around base and the shopping areas. Or stolen. Yes, it does happen here! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
