My new life, my old life. Summer is almost over! I can't believe that the summer is almost over. I started hiking in March with a coworker and it's been excellent. Here is a link to a map that has the locations of all the hikes we've done and the mileage. I've done over 110mi! I'd like to share some highlights of the hikes with you, it's been a real treat! My new life, my old life. Update at long last. Well, it has definately been awhile since I last posted. Halloween came and passed. Chris came to visit and we carved a pumpkin! My new life, my old life. Good times with Joy. My sister Joy came to visit before she went back to school in Sept and I have only recently uploaded the pictures of her visit from the camera. (Which incidently is broken now! I brought her along to the Monterey Bay Aquarium where we sat in a giant fiberglass clam and had our picture taken! On cannery row she braved the "love tester". My new life, my old life. And I have been hard at work with our joint blog: Put the Tea Kettle On. I have recently detailed my tea adventures in Boulder, CO. First I went to the Celestial Seasonings tea factory. And then I went to a one-of-a-kind tea house called the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. You can read about both adventures by following the links to their original posts. And was able to see a lot of neat chemistry. With fried tofu, extra spicy. I could eat that for the rest of my life!

I have enjoyed using an online community called Goodreads to track my reading over the last few years and the other day it prompted me to make a reading goal for the year, so I decided to go for it! Read 4 books toward her goal of 11 books. 4 of 11 (36%). At the time, I figured "11 in 2011" was cute, so I went with it. My new life, my old life. I got the follow up call from the physician yesterday, no fractures. Yipie! I was hoping to start running again and this is great news. I think I will take it easy for a week longer because my foot still feels tweaked, but then I'm good to go. Clean bill of health (so far). I had x rays today and there are no fractures big enough to see with the quick-read. A radiologist will develop it and check it out this afternoon and (hopefully) confirm that there are no tiny fractures.

But I haven't really touched the thing since. I was determined though and dragged it out of storage this morning to find two flat tires and a lot of spiders. Put The Water On. Friday, December 3, 2010. Barbed Wire and Wet Willies On My Mind. This is my last entry in this location before I find a new blog home. Someplace prettier and sexier to display the progress I've made since quitting advertising. A delicious decision. This week I did some thinking on wet willies.
